Sarah Carr’s journey into business began early. At just 16, she was traveling with the Grateful Dead, selling tie-dyes to fund her art school education. Sarah’s dedication to spiritual wellness stems from deeply personal experiences. As a child, she had a near-death experience that introduced her to what she later recognized as a spirit guide. This formative event, along with a powerful spiritual ordination and the courage to leave a long-term toxic relationship, propelled her toward creating a space where others could also find healing and empowerment.
Dragonfly Art and Soul is as much about community support as it is about personal wellness. The business regularly contributes to local causes, including food pantry drives and charitable garage sales that support cancer survivors and rare disease awareness. Sarah also volunteers as co-chair of a local board, always finding ways to uplift those around her.
A photographer at heart, Sarah brings her artistic eye to the business. She captures all of Dragonfly’s imagery herself, making every product photo and promotional image uniquely authentic. With 40 years of entrepreneurial experience and a love for helping others launch their own ventures, Sarah’s business continues to grow in inspiring ways. One of the most exciting developments? A school bus converted into “Dragonfly on the Road”—a mobile extension of the shop that brings wellness and artisan goods to festivals and events throughout the region.
