Manahawkin, NJ — If you ask James “Jim” Marchioni how CamoVets began, he’ll tell you it started long before the trucks and uniforms. In his 20s, Jim was already an entrepreneur, washing windows, clearing gutters, taking care of neighbors’ homes. Later, as an operations manager in the oil fields of Texas, he learned the rhythm of logistics: right people, right place, right time. When it was time to build something of his own back home, he blended both worlds and his U.S. Marine Corps mindset into CamoVets.
Today, CamoVets helps homeowners and businesses across Ocean and Monmouth counties with junk removal, light demolition, and exterior power/soft washing. It’s practical work, done with pride and a focus on safety and professionalism.

A Marine veteran, Jim’s company reflects the values he lived in uniform – service, reliability, and teamwork. He and his wife, Angela, co-founded the business with a simple idea: bring veterans into meaningful, community-facing work and deliver the kind of experience they’d want for their own families.
You’ll see tidy, modern trucks; well-trained crews; and owners who pick up the phone. It’s personal, on purpose. Home services should feel easy, and safe. CamoVets backs that up in three clear ways:
CamoVets actively collaborates with local organizations that connect veterans with employment opportunities, including MA22 (Ma Deuce Deuce) and VetWorks. The company also offers an ongoing military discount as a small thank you to those who served.
Beyond hiring, Jim sets aside time to mentor employees on personal and professional goals, reflecting a culture that values growth, whether within CamoVets or in a future career path. Jim and Angela encourage their team members to build their careers, not just punch a clock.
That commitment was recognized this year when The American Legion honored CamoVets as Employer of the Year, both at the state level and nationally. “It’s a proud moment for a team whose day-to-day motto is ‘Reporting for duty,’” says Jim. “You thanked us for our service; now we thank you for your business. Hiring veterans isn’t a slogan here, it’s part of how we operate every day.”
Based in Manahawkin, CamoVets serves Ocean and Monmouth counties and is exploring expansion into parts of Atlantic County. Power washing is seasonal; junk removal runs year-round. Whenever you’re ready to reclaim a garage, prep a property for sale, or freshen up the exterior, CamoVets is ready too.

On November 11th and throughout the month of November, take a moment to reflect on service and the ways it continues at home. For many, the most challenging chapter begins after separation from the military, navigating new careers, building families, and finding meaningful work. CamoVets is a local example of service: a veteran-founded small business that hires veterans, invests in training, and treats every job like it’s for one of their neighbors. It’s the kind of quiet, everyday service that strengthens a community, one driveway, one cleanout, one house wash at a time.
“Veterans bring reliability, teamwork, and pride to the job,” Jim says. “If we can be a bridge to what’s next while giving homeowners a standout experience, that’s a mission worth reporting for.”
