Teresa Delgado is the founder of FLUID, a Northern California-based professional organizing business with a mission: to declutter spaces and uplift communities—all while keeping waste out of landfills. Based in the Bay Area, Teresa has transformed her passion for tidiness and sustainability into a thriving business that serves both residential and commercial clients.

Before founding FLUID in 2021, Teresa spent decades working in visual merchandising and marketing. Her eye for design and understanding of space planning made her a natural fit for helping people reimagine their surroundings. She’s also a seasoned hairstylist of over 30 years, a role that allowed her to build close relationships and gain the trust of countless clients. It was during in-home hair visits that Teresa realized her gift for organizing went beyond aesthetics—it had the power to transform lives.
FLUID is more than just an organizing service. Teresa helps her clients declutter and reorganize in a way that supports a circular economy. Items that no longer serve a purpose in one home find new life elsewhere. Teresa partners with over 15 local nonprofits, redistributing everything from towels and bedding to clothing and household goods.
What sets FLUID apart is the full-circle approach. Teresa doesn’t just remove items; she ensures they go where they’re truly needed—whether it’s a group home, community fridge, or public art fundraiser. In fact, one of her most creative ventures began with a ruined comforter and a sick cat. Instead of discarding the bedding, Teresa sanitized the materials and turned them into dog beds. Today, she’s produced dozens of these from textile waste, with a vision to scale to hundreds more.
Teresa’s sustainability efforts don’t stop at donations. She’s a certified California Green Business and a vocal advocate for Zero Waste Affiliate living. She is also certified with the California Procurement She teaches sewing workshops at public libraries and youth shelters like Covenant House Oakland, giving young adults access to valuable skills while showing them the value of repurposing. One workshop had 12 spots and drew a waitlist of 80 people—a sign that her message resonates.
Her dream? To acquire a textile shredder that would accelerate her production of upcycled dog beds. Currently, Teresa cuts every piece by hand, but with the right equipment, she hopes to expand her impact dramatically.
Born and raised in Hayward, Teresa has deep roots in the Bay Area. Her multicultural background—Filipino and Indigenous Inuit—deeply informs her connection to community, sustainability, and craftsmanship. She draws inspiration from her parents, who instilled in her the importance of hard work, giving back, and lifting others up.
Her community spirit is evident not only in her work but in her daily life. Whether she’s walking with friends, leading sewing circles, or volunteering at the Oakland Museum White Elephant Sale, Teresa is constantly investing in the wellbeing of those around her.
FLUID offers flexible pricing to accommodate low-income households, retirees, single parents, and others who need support. Teresa also offers free consultations for referrals and ensures that every project—big or small—creates a ripple of positive change.
The business continues to grow, and so does Teresa’s vision. She hopes to launch paid workshops with scholarship options, increase textile recycling efforts, and inspire a broader conversation about conscious consumerism and community care.
