Nestled in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Pine Hollow Winery LLC is a testament to the passion and dedication of its owners, Barbara and John DiVirgilio. This Certified Veteran-Owned Business traces back to Pennsylvania, where the DiVirgilio family first started their winery journey in a charming 1920s Sears Craftsman Home on Pine Hollow Road. Pine Hollow Winery pays homage to their beginnings and the journey that led them to Las Vegas in 2019.
At Pine Hollow Winery, the focus is on creating unique, hand-crafted, award-winning wines. The DiVirgilios produce, bottle, and sell their wines, offering them by the tasting, glass, or bottle for in-store enjoyment and take-home experiences. The winery also offers a delightful selection of wine accessories and refreshing wine slushies, enhancing the overall customer experience.
The heart of Pine Hollow Winery lies in its personalized wine tastings. Barbara and John guide customers through their wine selection, helping them discover flavors they might have yet to learn they enjoyed. This customized approach ensures that every customer finds a wine that perfectly suits their palate, even if they need clarification on their preferences.
The winery caters primarily to women aged 30-60, a demographic that has shown great appreciation for John’s unique and innovative wines. With a background in creating new and exciting flavors, John brings a distinct touch to the winery, setting Pine Hollow apart from other establishments. The winery’s commitment to innovation and quality has earned it several prestigious awards, including a Bronze Award at the International Wine Competition in NY and multiple awards at the Proof Awards in Las Vegas.
Beyond its delicious wines, Pine Hollow Winery is deeply involved in the community. The DiVirgilios are proud Lions members and have hosted several charity events supporting organizations like A Path 4 Paws, Shade Tree, and Street Dogz. They also offer discounts to military personnel as a token of appreciation for their service.
Pine Hollow Winery’s journey has been challenging. Barbara notably had to advocate before the Las Vegas City Council to establish a winery ordinance, making Pine Hollow the first winery licensed within the city limits. This milestone is a point of pride for the DiVirgilios, who continue to expand their operations, including a new production room to accommodate a harvest from Kingman, AZ, featuring four new grape varietals: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, and Zinfandel.
In their time, Barbara enjoys music, live shows, yoga, and reading, while John practices guitar and shares a love for music. They have been married for 13 years and share a blended family of four children and ten grandchildren.
Pine Hollow Winery is more than just a place to enjoy fine wine; it’s a community hub where passion meets craftsmanship, and every bottle tells a story. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or new to the world of wine, Pine Hollow Winery invites you to join their journey and discover the unique flavors and warm hospitality that define this exceptional establishment.
