When life throws challenges your way, sometimes the best response is to throw something back. At least, that’s the philosophy behind Bev’s Rage Room, Dothan’s premier destination for therapeutic stress relief. Owner Tiffany Rowell has created something truly special in the Wiregrass region: a safe, controlled environment where people from all walks of life can release their frustrations, find their smiles again, and leave their troubles on the floor.
Tiffany didn’t stumble into entrepreneurship by accident. After years in sales and customer service, including selling cars and life insurance, she recognized a crucial need in her community. People needed an outlet, a safe place to release the pressures of daily life before they reached a breaking point.
“We all have actions and reactions, and sometimes those reactions can go too far,” Tiffany explains. “People need an outlet to relieve their stress so they don’t hurt themselves or someone else. That’s why we’re here.”
The name “Bev’s Rage Room” carries deep personal significance. After losing her mother Beverly, Tiffany wanted to honor the woman who represented strength and perseverance in her life. Beverly’s legacy lives on in a business that helps countless people find their way back to happiness.
“My mother was a very strong pillar in my life. She represented strength and the idea that no matter how hard life gets, you never give up,” Tiffany shares. “It represents her well because we help so many people.”
So what exactly is a rage room? It’s a controlled environment with safety parameters where clients can break various objects, scream, yell, play their favorite music, and release whatever has been troubling them. But Bev’s Rage Room offers something more than just destruction.
“It’s very therapeutic,” Tiffany emphasizes. “My approach is a little different than what you would think the normal rage room approach is. We make sure to treat our customers the way we would want to be treated.”
The business has been serving the Dothan community for over two and a half years, and in that time, Rowell has built something remarkable. As the only rage room within a 90-mile radius, Bev’s has attracted clients from across Alabama and beyond, with visitors coming from as far as California and Huntsville. Many become repeat customers, drawn back by the unique experience and genuine care they receive.

The demographics of Bev’s clientele tell an interesting story about modern stress. While the majority of clients are women aged 18 to 50 dealing with work pressures, relationship changes, and the daily grind of being everyone’s support system, the business serves a diverse population.
“I have a lot of women going through day-to-day issues in the work world, recently divorced or getting ready to go through that part of life,” Tiffany notes. “But I also have middle-aged women who are married, who are the glue at home but don’t always get to be seen or heard. At Bev’s, they can come and be seen and heard.”
In recent months, male clientele has been catching up with the women, as more men recognize the value of having a healthy outlet for stress. The business also welcomes elderly individuals in their 60s and 70s, proving that the need for stress relief knows no age limit.

While individual sessions are popular, Bev’s Rage Room has become a go-to destination for various celebrations and group events. Birthday parties, anniversaries, team-building events for businesses, and yes, even breakup and divorce parties have all found a home at Bev’s. One young client has made it an annual tradition to celebrate his birthday at the rage room every year.
“People come for different reasons,” Tiffany explains. “Some come to work through difficult emotions, while others just want to have fun and try something new. We welcome everyone.”
The business proudly offers discounts to military personnel and first responders, recognizing their service to the community. It’s one of many ways Rowell gives back to Dothan.
Community involvement is deeply important to Tiffany. Despite the challenges she has faced, including breaking her ankle last Thanksgiving and facing an upcoming hip replacement, she remains committed to supporting local causes and building meaningful partnerships.
Bev’s Rage Room has a strong network of community supporters. Goodwill has been part of this journey the longest, alongside partners like Five Horizons Health Services, All In Credit Union, The Thirsty Pig, The Ark, The Sound Shop, Second Chance, Target, Community 1st, and the Wiregrass Museum of Art. This year, Tiffany is implementing a toy drive, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to giving back.
Perhaps most meaningful is the “no couch therapy” service Bev’s provides. The business has donated many sessions to clients in need, helping people work through trauma, domestic violence situations, and emotional crises. “Suicide prevention, helping domestic violence survivors, and helping someone get back to being the person they were before trauma is the reward for us,” Tiffany explains.
The rage room space also features art on display, celebrating the many ways people find healing. “There are some really awesome individuals that lend a helping hand every week,” Tiffany says gratefully. “These businesses and individuals are all a part of adding smiles back to the atmosphere.”
What sets Bev’s Rage Room apart isn’t just the unique service it provides. It’s the genuine care that radiates from its owner. Tiffany’s 25 years of experience as what she calls a “life consultant” rather than just a salesperson has prepared her perfectly for this role.
“I wasn’t a fast-talking salesperson,” she reflects. “I wanted to figure out what a person’s needs were and help them fill those needs. My customers have followed me everywhere I’ve worked for over 25 years in this city. I’ve just been a people person, being real.”
That authenticity shows in every interaction. Tiffany has opened the business during off-hours for emergency calls, providing a lifeline for people at their breaking point. Her ability to listen, truly hear what people are saying, and provide support has earned Bev’s Rage Room glowing reviews and a loyal following.
One of her hobbies, beyond dancing (currently on hold due to her hip), is encouraging people. “I love to encourage people, both in my business and outside of it,” she says. “That’s just everyday life for me.”
Tiffany has ambitious plans for Bev’s Rage Room. Within the next five years, she envisions creating a mobile version of the business to reach mental health facilities, schools, and youth populations who need guidance and healthy outlets for their emotions.
“We’re going to be in some trouble if they don’t get some guidance,” she says passionately. “I plan on being able to visit them and do activities with the youth. We need to be able to come to you if you can’t come to us, because everyone needs to release their frustrations. We don’t want anybody filling hospital beds because of anger and frustration.”
She also hopes to open another, larger location in Dothan, expanding her ability to serve the community that has embraced her business so warmly.
When asked what she loves about Dothan, Tiffany doesn’t hesitate: “No traffic, and peaceful living.” With a city population of about 71,000 and a county population of roughly 110,000, Dothan offers the perfect blend of community and tranquility. It’s the kind of place where word-of-mouth recommendations and genuine relationships drive business success.
Whether you’re dealing with workplace stress, life transitions, or simply want to try something different and fun, Bev’s Rage Room offers a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else in the region. With a tagline of “Rage with Purpose,” this isn’t just about breaking things. It’s about breaking free from whatever holds you back and rediscovering your smile.
The business operates with the grace that has sustained it through more than two years of service, combining therapeutic release with genuine human connection. Every session is an opportunity to leave your troubles behind and walk out feeling lighter, heard, and seen.
Don’t let stress weigh you down. Visit Bev’s Rage Room and discover why clients keep coming back and traveling from across the region for this one-of-a-kind experience. Whether you’re planning a solo session, a group celebration, or a team-building event, Tiffany and her dedicated team are ready to help you rage with purpose.
