For the past 23 years, certified arborist Ken Hewlett has been maintaining the health of lawns and trees all across Arlington, Texas. His services and skills provide a substantial reduction in watering costs for locals.
“What makes us different is that we use natural and organic fertilizers, mostly Carbon-based. We also diagnose directly on site, looking for the causes of soil problems and taking soil samples.”
Ken Hewlett has been the owner of Trees Hurt Too for 7 years and an Arlington native, born and raised, and a major fan of Golf.
Hewlett is what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, a self-made entrepreneur who brings true value to his community. High standards of professionalism and the strong work ethics of small business owners like Denis are the infrastructures of the lawn care and arboricultural economy.
Giving back to the community is part of Hewlett’s mindset, providing charitable donations to the Hearts and Tails of Hope Pet Rescue and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Hewlett also provides 10% discounts to seniors and Military persons.

We sat down with Ken for a quick interview –
Q-Why do you do what you do?
A-“I grew up on a local farm and had always loved the outdoors and plants. My family also ran a Pest Control company.”
Q-When did you get into this profession?
A-“I got into this profession in 1996 and became a certified arborist in 1998. By 2014, I had come to own the company.”
Q-Is there anything else you would like to add that you think readers should know?”
A-“For healthy plants and trees, we focus on soil health, not just plant health.”
For those of you who are looking for a professional arborist and plant health care specialist, Ken Hewlett and the Trees Hurt Too team should be your first choice. Save 50% on watering costs with their program. Call Ken at (972) 521-1552, or visit www.treeshurttoo.com
