Painting Peace: Rakhi Sapra’s Journey from Economics to Emotional Expression Through Art

Art for all - sharing beauty, peace, and emotional resonance

In a quiet corner of the art world, a soft but powerful voice is emerging—one that speaks through sweeping landscapes, gentle brush strokes, and deep spiritual reflections. Meet Rakhi Sapra, founder of Art for All (formerly Rakhi Art for All), a part-time artist and full-time economist whose story proves that passion, once awakened, can bloom at any stage of life.

Born into a large Indian family, Rakhi discovered solace in colors and creativity at a young age. “Art was my retreat,” she shares. “It gave me comfort when I couldn’t always voice what I was feeling.” At 20, she dreamed of attending one of India’s finest art schools. But societal expectations and the pursuit of a “practical” career led her into economics and finance instead.

Years later, that dream would come back to life—stronger and more urgent than ever.

After moving to the U.S., Rakhi began taking art classes. What started as a hobby turned into a healing process. “My art became therapy,” she says. “It grounded me in a new country, helped me rebuild my life, and ultimately brought me back to myself.”

Rakhi now runs Art for All, a brand that embodies her mission: to share beauty, peace, and emotional resonance through oil landscapes and spiritual themes. Her works invite viewers into quiet introspection and are inspired by nature, God, love, and human vulnerability. She paints using a palette knife and brush, investing in the finest materials—from Winsor & Newton paints to premium canvases—to ensure each piece speaks with clarity and depth.

“Art should bring people closer to peace, love, and harmony,” Rakhi says with conviction. “That’s what I aim for with every painting.”

Though she’s been painting since childhood, Rakhi formally launched her art business three years ago. Her works have already been exhibited in the UK, across the U.S., and even inspired by painting trips in Paris. She’s been featured in exhibitions like the Art Impact International Exhibition: “Endangered Flight, Florida, and Fauna” and Artosi’s “My Brush Strokes”.

More than technique, it’s the emotional storytelling behind her paintings that connects with audiences. Whether capturing a tranquil moment in nature or a storm of emotion, her goal is always to evoke a spiritual experience. Her ideal collectors are those who resonate deeply with the stories and sentiments her pieces reflect—those who find a part of themselves within her art.

Even as she continues her full-time career in economics, Rakhi’s commitment to her artistic vision remains unwavering. “My failures and detours make my art more real,” she says. “We all carry stories, we all struggle. I paint to inspire others to share, to heal, and to know they’re not alone.”

Her journey is a testament to the quiet rebellion of the heart: choosing art in a world that often prizes logic, choosing emotion in a field dominated by numbers, and choosing to tell her story when it would be easier to stay silent.

As Rakhi quotes Van Gogh, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Through her work, she’s doing just that—for herself, and for everyone who stands in front of one of her paintings and feels something shift inside.
