Jennifer G. Jackson is more than just a certified CPR instructor—she’s a community builder, a passionate educator, and a Maryland native who turned her lifelong dream into a growing business: J2 Education and Wellness.
Jennifer’s journey began with a deep desire to equip people with life-saving skills. With CPR certification under her belt since 2008 and years of experience as an educator, she knew the power of knowledge. Over the years, witnessing multiple emergency situations where her training made a critical difference, Jennifer realized a growing gap: many people simply didn’t know what to do in those moments. That realization became the driving force behind her decision to launch her own mobile CPR training business.
What makes J2 Education and Wellness stand out is Jennifer’s commitment to accessibility and flexibility. Her mobile CPR certification service covers Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas, offering on-site training for workplaces, groups, and individuals. Whether it’s a daycare, medical office, or assisted living facility, Jennifer brings her expertise to you.
But what truly sets her apart is how she teaches. Jennifer tailors each class to fit her audience’s needs, offering options for people with disabilities, older adults, or anyone who may require accommodations like ASL interpretation or large-print materials. She incorporates music, hands-on activities, and interactive instruction to keep classes engaging and easy to understand.
Jennifer believes that life-saving knowledge should never be out of reach. Through her partnership with the American Heart Association, she offers free community CPR classes for families and friends. These non-certification sessions focus on basic skills, empowering everyday people to step in confidently during emergencies.
Parents, in particular, find immense value in these courses. As Jennifer shares, many adults know how to help another adult in distress, but few know the right techniques for children. Her outreach fills that knowledge gap with care and clarity.
Although J2 Education and Wellness officially launched in August 2025, the vision behind it had been years in the making. Jennifer’s professional background in disability support and adult education made her keenly aware of how learning styles and accessibility impact retention.
She had always toyed with the idea of starting a business, even crafting business plans in grad school. But it wasn’t until a moment of reflection on her 40th birthday and a request from her son’s daycare that she decided to take the leap.
Her first class? A daycare that needed immediate training for its staff. From there, momentum grew. Within weeks, she had classes scheduled with local gyms, martial arts studios, and more.
Jennifer grew up in Baltimore and now lives in Anne Arundel County. Her business may be new, but her connection to Maryland runs deep. She loves the community, the convenience, and of course—the crabs.
With J2 Education and Wellness, she plans to do even more. Jennifer hopes to eventually launch a nonprofit arm that provides scholarships for CPR certification and expands her educational outreach to include dementia awareness and disability education.
Jennifer isn’t just teaching CPR. She’s building confidence, inspiring action, and making safety education approachable for everyone. Her goal? To ensure no one feels helpless in an emergency.
