C.F. Jackson: Redefining Television One Story at a Time

In a world where everyone has a story to tell but few have the platform to share it, C.F. Jackson is changing the game. As the founder and CEO of iDefine TV, affectionately known as “the interviewer,” C.F. has built a thriving international media company that helps entrepreneurs, business coaches, authors, and everyday people transform their stories into compelling television content.

The Birth of a Vision

The story of iDefine TV begins in 2013 with a simple discovery. C.F. stumbled upon Roku, a streaming platform that would ultimately change the trajectory of her career. After initially purchasing a Sony streaming box, a friend mentioned Roku for the second time, which piqued her curiosity enough to give it a try.

“I bought the Roku, and I was really excited about it because it’s better than the Sony, better layout, much more content,” C.F. recalls. “I said, wow, how can I help others?”

Having been deeply embedded in Atlanta’s entrepreneurial community for years, C.F. recognized a common thread among business owners: everyone wanted to be on television, but it seemed unattainable. The major networks felt out of reach, reserved only for those with industry connections or massive budgets.

Then inspiration struck like a block of bricks. The name “iDefine TV” came to her, and with it, a powerful realization. The name itself is an affirmation, a mantra. When someone says “I Define TV,” they’re declaring their independence from traditional media gatekeepers. “We don’t need ABC or CBS anymore,” C.F. explains. “Now we have media platforms like Roku to place yourself not only nationally, but internationally.”

From Author to Authority Builder

C.F.’s journey into media didn’t start with television. It began with a novel. In 2003, determined to discover her life’s purpose, she woke from a Saturday afternoon nap with a complete story in her mind: “Won’t Be Denied,” a suspense novel with a full synopsis already formed.

A friend suggested she write it as a book, and despite her initial resistance about time constraints, C.F. felt compelled to follow through. “If you say you want to know what your purpose is, write the book,” she remembers hearing. Four to five months later, the novel was complete.

The characters came to her at all hours, even while she was working her telecom job. When it came time to publish in 2004, C.F. couldn’t find an agent or publisher, so she created her own publishing company. This experience taught her invaluable lessons about the challenges independent creators face, lessons that would later inform her entire approach to helping others.

It was during this publishing journey that “C.F. Jackson” became her professional name. Her first name was difficult to spell, pronounce, and remember, so she opted for her initials. When people ask what C.F. stands for, she sometimes says “constantly focused,” though it’s not her birth name. The brand stuck, and C.F. Jackson has been her entrepreneurial identity ever since 2004.

Understanding the Power of Comfort

What truly sets iDefine TV apart isn’t just the technology or the platform. It’s C.F.’s profound understanding of what it feels like to be uncomfortable in front of a camera.

“I was someone who didn’t want to be in front of the camera, who didn’t want to be behind the microphone,” C.F. admits. As a self-published author without a marketing team, she had no choice but to push past her fear. Her first interview was on V-103, one of Atlanta’s largest urban radio stations, and she was terrified.

“I’m sitting in the same chair that some of my favorite actors and artists sat in.” she recalls. But that experience taught her something invaluable: how to help others through that same journey.

Clients consistently tell C.F. that what makes her different is her ability to make people feel comfortable. “I make them feel that their voice matters, and I make them feel that they can do it,” she says. “I do that organically because I understand it, because I was there.”

A Global Reach with Local Heart

While based in Atlanta, iDefine TV serves clients worldwide. C.F. has interviewed people from India, Jamaica, Canada, Australia, Sweden, and the UK. Her client base primarily consists of entrepreneurs aged 35 to 60, including business coaches and authors, though the company welcomes anyone with a story to tell.

The business started by focusing on independent music artists who struggled to find platforms for their work. This foundation in serving underrepresented voices remains central to iDefine TV’s mission today.

Atlanta’s booming media scene provides the perfect backdrop for C.F.’s work. She’s just a mile and a half from a major movie studio under the Universal Studios umbrella and about 15 miles from another major studio. The city’s growth in film and television has created an ecosystem where her work thrives.

More Than Just Interviews

iDefine TV offers three distinct service levels, each designed to meet clients where they are in their journey:

Standard One-on-One Interviews: Perfect for those who want to share their expertise and build authority through conversation.

Docu-Style Interview Features: For clients ready to tell their complete story, fully produced and professionally presented.

Shows or Series: For those ready to establish ongoing content that keeps audiences engaged over time.

But C.F.’s commitment doesn’t end when the camera stops rolling. “I see it as a partnership,” she explains. “I continue to promote people. I continue to look at what’s happening each month and promote everyone I’ve interviewed again.”

This ongoing promotion includes the iDefine TV Business Spotlight Series and monthly themed content that keeps clients visible long after their initial interview. It’s this philosophy of over-delivery and genuine service that sets iDefine TV apart.

Building Legacies, Not Just Content

For C.F., the work goes beyond building businesses. It’s about creating legacies, hence, the Turning Point impact Program was birth. She recently produced two documentary stories featuring military veterans, projects that revealed the depth of experiences people carry.

“It’s amazing how you just never know what they go through, personally and through the military,” C.F. reflects. “Everyone has a story to tell.”

The company offers special grants throughout the year and provides discounts to military personnel. C.F. also supports Kiva.org, a platform that helps people around the world meet their goals and dreams through microloans.

The View from Here

Outside of work, C.F. maintains a rich personal life. A former sports enthusiast who loved the Lakers-Celtics rivalry days and classic boxing matches, she now focuses her free time on cooking from scratch, traveling, shopping, and capturing authentic moments through film. She recently learned to make tofu at home, preferring to avoid processed versions.

She’s also checked off bucket list items by working as an extra in two films, getting a taste of the other side of the camera.

C.F. is an active member of Entrepreneurs of Faith, a mastermind group where business owners collaborate to expand their reach and help each other grow. She was also featured in Entrepreneur Magazine’s November 2009 edition, recognition that came unexpectedly but remains personally meaningful.

Her mother, a music artist who recently finished her own book, lives nearby in Atlanta and has been a continuing source of inspiration. C.F.’s grandmother, who worked as a domestic worker but was a leader in everything she did, also played an instrumental role in shaping C.F.’s understanding of leadership and determination.

Looking Forward

As C.F. looks five years ahead, her vision is clear: she wants iDefine TV to become the go-to resource for small businesses seeking to document their stories.

“I want to see that iDefine TV is creating legacies at the same time building authority because we’re telling their story from their point of view, from their voice, and no one’s interrupting them,” C.F. says. “No one’s telling it but them, from their own voice, and then producing it in a way that makes them proud.”

Whether working with young businesses just starting out, mid-sized companies looking to scale, or established enterprises wanting to preserve their history, C.F. envisions iDefine TV as the platform where stories become legacies, available to the masses and preserved for families and friends for years to come.

The company’s tagline says it all: “Smile! You can be on TV.” And with C.F. Jackson at the helm, that’s not just a catchy phrase. It’s a promise being fulfilled every day, one story at a time.
