There is a moment, in the middle of a busy afternoon, when you set down your phone, pick up a colored pencil, and the noise of the world goes quiet. For Trang Huynh, founder of Kindly Made Creative Studio in Denver, Colorado, that moment is not an accident. It is the whole point.
Kindly Made Creative Studio offers handcrafted, fully customized party favors, personalized gifts, and a growing line of color-and-build activity kits designed to bring a little creativity into everyday life. Every product is made with intention, every order built around the individual, and every experience designed to give people a reason to slow down, breathe, and connect with the people around them.
The name of the business was chosen with the same care that goes into every product. “Everything is customized and personal,” Trang explains. “There is a lot of thought and consideration behind it. I thought Kindly Made, because it is kindly made by me, would translate really well to the kind of products and services I want to provide.”
That sense of purpose runs through everything Kindly Made Creative Studio creates. From birthday banners built in three dimensions so they truly pop at a celebration, to cake toppers and party favors customized to a specific color scheme, theme, and personality, nothing here is off-the-shelf. Each piece goes through a full creative process together with the customer, from brainstorming to the final product, so that the result is cohesive, personal, and ready to use straight out of the box.
“This is not something you can just pre-order on Amazon,” Trang says. “It is built and customized to you. We go through the entire process so that it fits and is cohesive with your idea.” For customers who have spent hours scrolling through generic options online, that level of personal attention makes all the difference.

Trang’s path to running a creative studio is rooted in a background that might surprise you. With years of experience in graphic design and digital marketing, she spent much of her career behind a screen, responsive to every ping and notification, always chasing the next opportunity before it slipped away. Before moving to Denver, she also ran her own real estate business in Texas, where the pace was relentless and the pressure to stay constantly available was built into the job.
“I would respond to everybody almost instantly,” she recalls. “There was always that pressure to respond, to capture, to do something before it was gone.”
The transition to something more hands-on was deliberate. After relocating from Texas to Denver with her young family, Trang found herself drawn toward a different kind of work. She wanted to be present, to create something physical, to meet people face to face rather than through a screen. The mountains that now frame her daily view became a symbol of that shift: constant, grounding, and a quiet reminder that even small efforts can leave a lasting mark.
“After COVID and all the social distancing, I wanted to do something more hands-on that was better for me and that allowed me to go meet people, connect with them, and encourage everyone to be a little more creative and take a break from the screen,” she says. “Put your phone down for 15 minutes, color something, make something, and you get to walk away with it and show it off.”
Becoming a mother deepened that shift even further. Trang credits her two young children with teaching her the value of slowing down. “Kids will force you to slow down,” she laughs. “They do not care what is going on. They need to be held, they need to be fed, they need to be played with. That forced me to be more intentional about how I use my time and how much of it I give to other people.”

Alongside her custom event products, Trang is launching what she calls the Color and Gather Collection, a line of activity kits designed to make creative experiences accessible to absolutely anyone. The first product in this line is the Bloom Bar, a color-and-build paper bouquet kit that lets you choose your flowers, color them in, and assemble them into a finished arrangement using a paper base. No artistic experience required, no mess to clean up, and no prior crafting knowledge needed.
“The idea is to encourage everyday people of all ages to get a little creative with no skills or background needed,” Trang explains. The kits are designed to be approachable and satisfying from the very first use. You pick your flowers, add your colors, and watch something beautiful come together in your hands. The whole experience can take as little as 30 minutes, making it ideal for a lunch break, a post-workout cooldown, or a quiet evening at home.
The kits work equally well as standalone activity experiences or as pre-assembled party favors that guests can take home as a reminder of the event. They have already made appearances at wellness pop-ups, local creative studios, and community gatherings across Denver, drawing in participants ranging from toddlers to seniors.
At a recent pop-up hosted at a wellness center, Trang watched one participant sit down with a kit and gradually lose herself in the process. What started as a quick coloring activity turned into something far more intentional. The woman began blending colors, layering shades, and creating a paper bouquet that looked like a piece of original artwork.
“I was in awe,” Trang says. “I thought she was just going to do a little coloring and then move on to something else. No, she sat there in her own zone, creating something amazing. I was like, wow, I need to get on that level of coloring, because that was dedication. It was a great testimony to how far you can take this.”
Kindly Made Creative Studio is a Denver-based business, but its reach extends well beyond the city. Pop-up events bring Trang and her products directly into the community, while the kits and custom orders can be shipped anywhere in the country. The studio has been building momentum quickly since its launch in May 2026, with June fully booked and events already scheduled through the rest of the summer.
The response from the community has shaped the direction of the business in real time. Requests have come in from restaurants and retail shops wanting to carry the products, as well as from event organizers looking to bring the full pop-up experience to their gatherings. It is the kind of organic growth that comes from making something people genuinely want and genuinely feel.
Mental health and community connection are also close to Trang’s heart. She has volunteered with Un/Do Mindset, a Denver-based mental health nonprofit, and has contributed to college readiness programs and animal rescue organizations throughout her career. The philosophy behind her work at Kindly Made Creative Studio is an extension of those values: creating space for people to decompress, to express themselves, and to connect with others without pressure or pretense.
“We are really just coloring,” she says. “All the barriers are broken down. We are creating something to unite us all together.”
Five years from now, Trang envisions Kindly Made Creative Studio with its own dedicated storefront in Denver, a full Color and Gather Collection with multiple themes and assortments to choose from, and a regular calendar of community events where groups of all kinds can come together, unwind, and create something with their hands. She pictures weekly drop-in sessions where neighbors, coworkers, and strangers can sit down at the same table and make something together.
It is a vision rooted in the same belief that started it all: that creativity is not a talent reserved for artists. It is a practice available to everyone, and it has the power to bring people back to themselves and to each other.
The tagline she has chosen for the studio says it all: Where creativity blooms. It is an invitation as much as a description, one extended to anyone who is ready to set the screen aside, even for just a moment, and make something beautiful.
Ready to bring some creativity into your next event or simply give yourself a reason to unwind?
