Attorney Stan Perkins Loves To Mentor Young Lawyers

By George Sloane on April 12, 2021

Stan Perkins

For the past 30 plus years, Stan Perkins has been assisting clients with personal injury cases in the Seattle area. Whether it’s an auto accident, premises liability, or medical malpractice claim, Stan’s team at Dean Standish Perkins and Associates have helped many clients navigate the often rough waters of Personal Injury Claims.

Stan says – ”Through our long and successful practice, we have seen just about every kind of case, and we bring that extensive experience to help each and every client. If you are hurt, and someone else is at fault, you’ve come to the right place.”

Stan is what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, a self-made professional who brings true value to his community. The high standards and strong work ethics of professionals and business people like Stan are the lifeblood infrastructure of Seattle’s economy.

Being locally-oriented, every dollar that Stan and his firm generate is returned to the local business ecosystem and community.

Stan’s a strong supporter of the Public Interest Law Foundation, an organization that funds young attorneys to work in public interest law with organizations such as the ACLU and others.

We sat down with Stan for a quick interview –

Q: Why do you do what you do?

A: “Well, early on in my career, I realized that to be the best I could be, it was necessary to focus on one area of law. I chose the Personal Injury niche and have concentrated on that for my entire career.”

Q: What have you found to be the most personally rewarding aspect of your job?

A: “When people come to us, they’ve usually suffered traumatic injuries or death of a loved one. We like to think we have a knack for making people feel that things are going to be OK, create a sense of confidence if they will. We have a comfortable and competent office. I should mention that my Legal Associate Susan Cohodes and Attorney Eric Lewis, as well as our office support staff all work toward that goal of reassuring clients.”

Q: You mentioned the Public Law Foundation, tell me more about that.

A: “Well, the Public Law Foundation is an enterprise that assists young lawyers by funding them while working in public interest law. I’m also involved in coaching young lawyers and serve as a mentor for recent graduates of the Seattle University School of Law, where I am also Adjunct Professor and Director of the Low Bono Incubator Program. The opportunity I have to serve, help and counsel people through challenging times is humbling and satisfying.”

Q: Tell me about your family.

A: “I’m married to my wife Joan, and we have three children Miles, Chase, and Emma, and we live over in Bellevue.”

Q: Are you a sports fan?

A: “I admit I am a hopelessly beleaguered Mariner’s fan, hoping we can get back to the ballpark this summer.”

Dean Standish Perkins and Associates

We checked online and found this 5-Star review for Stan‘s firm on Google-

“… I was looking for an attorney to help with my car accident. Dean Perkins makes me feel at home. The hospitality was unbelievable. He explained to me the process in an easy way that we can understand how it works and gave me the confidence that I needed because I was new in the USA and didn’t know how to handle this. From that day up to today any time I need help with the law, he’s there for me, and anyone who ever becomes his client still comes back to him for help. The best lawyers!”

Stan doesn’t like to brag, but we also found that, among many honors and awards he has received, Stan has been recognized among the Nation’s Top 1% of Attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and named one of the Top 100 Litigators in the State of Washington by the American Society of Legal Advocates.

So for those of you who are looking for a truly experienced and compassionate professional for your personal injury needs, Stan and Dean Standish Perkins and Associates team should be your first choice.
