The Bronx, NY – Cynthia Robinson, founder of Heartfelt Spaces, has recently made a significant mark in the local business scene. Known professionally as C.R. Joy, Cynthia’s journey into entrepreneurship is both inspiring and motivating, rooted in overcoming personal adversities and a passion for positivity
Business Focus

Heartfelt Spaces offers a wide range of home decor products designed to bring positivity into everyday life. From shower curtains and welcome mats to wall art and throw pillows, Cynthia’s creations aim to transform living spaces into sanctuaries of happiness and motivation. Each product is custom-made to reflect personal milestones and aspirations, providing a unique touch to any home.
In addition to home decor, Cynthia has created a coloring book for black and brown children, featuring various professions to inspire them to dream big. This book includes positive affirmations and engaging activities, emphasizing that children can aspire to any career they choose, not just traditional or stereotypical roles.

The Beginning
Cynthia’s entrepreneurial venture began in May 2022, following her official LLC registration. Despite starting her business journey in December 2022, the official recognition marked a new chapter. Her inspiration stemmed from a series of personal losses between 2019 and 2022, including the passing of her grandmother, mother, a close family friend, and her nephew. These experiences motivated her to create a business focused on positivity and helping others find joy amidst life’s challenges. Officially Heartfelt Spaces opened May 2024.
Community Engagement
Cynthia is actively working on getting her books into local daycare centers and libraries to gather feedback and improve her offerings. She believes in the importance of children seeing themselves in various professions and understanding that they can achieve anything with hard work and dedication.
Overcoming Challenges
Cynthia’s journey has not been without challenges. She is a breast cancer survivor, having undergone treatment for two years and receiving the all-clear in December. Additionally, she is a caregiver for her father, who has dementia and Alzheimer’s. Despite these personal hurdles, Cynthia remains focused on spreading positivity through her business.
Future Plans
Cynthia plans to expand her product line and reach more customers through various platforms, including Amazon and her website. She is also exploring advertising opportunities on social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok to connect with a broader audience.
Personal Touch
When asked about her motivation, Cynthia emphasized her commitment to making her loved ones proud and honoring their memory through her work. Her products are not just items for sale but tools to help others find joy and positivity in their daily lives.
For Cynthia, it’s all about creating a space that feels like a warm hug, a place where people can recharge and face the world with renewed energy. Her mission is to remind people of how far they’ve come and inspire them to keep pushing towards their goals.
