In the heart of the Sonoran Desert, under wide-open skies and towering saguaros, something remarkable is growing—and it’s not just the cactus. For Elsa Salinas, founder of 420 Tucson Tours, community is the real crop worth harvesting. What began as a simple idea—to create a safe, joyful, and judgment-free space for people who use cannabis—has blossomed into a movement that’s changing lives, one connection at a time.

Elsa and her team don’t just host events; they build belonging. And in a state where the sun shines nearly 300 days a year, they’re making sure nobody has to hide in the shadows to find relief, comfort, or friendship.
Located in Marana, Arizona, and serving the greater Tucson area, 420 Tucson Tours began with a simple but powerful vision: to offer a welcoming, cannabis-friendly environment where people could relax, socialize, and just be themselves. For a low-cost entry fee, attendees receive more than just access—they receive an experience. Karaoke, games, custom merchandise, and of course, plenty of premium cannabis are all included. Elsa and her team supply everything. They don’t sell cannabis—they *share* it.
“We provide a space where people can medicate comfortably, enjoy good company, and forget their worries for a little while,” Elsa explains. “You don’t have to be a cannabis user to join us. You just have to want to have a good time.”

Elsa is a medical cannabis patient herself, using it to manage chronic pain. She understands the stigma that still surrounds cannabis use—even in a legal state like Arizona. Too often, people who rely on cannabis for wellness feel isolated or misunderstood. That’s why 420 Tucson Tours was created: to normalize cannabis use and celebrate it as part of a healthy, social, and fulfilling lifestyle.
The team is fully licensed and insured, and they’ve built strong relationships with local growers who provide quality, medical-grade products. They pop up at markets, gem shows, car shows, restaurant openings, and even private events—wherever people are ready to connect and unwind.
What makes 420 Tucson Tours special isn’t the cannabis—it’s the people. Elsa fondly recalls some of the beautiful connections that have formed through their events:
These aren’t just customers—they’re VIPs. They’re people who’ve found acceptance, support, and even healing within this unique community.
Elsa and her team—which includes her sister and husband—are deeply committed to running their operations with integrity. They’re active members of their local chamber of commerce, have participated in community parades, and are exploring ways to give back even more. Ideas like roadside clean-ups, veteran-focused yoga mornings, and support for local schools are all on the table.
They’re also deeply connected to the natural beauty of Arizona. Elsa hosts a “Wake and Bake” show on Facebook from the stunning backdrop of the Saguaro National Forest, reminding everyone that cannabis and nature are a natural pair.
As 420 Tucson Tours approaches its one-year anniversary in November, Elsa is focused on growth—not just in size, but in impact. She hopes to see more people from all walks of life—veterans, nurses, students, retirees—join the community and experience the acceptance and joy that defines these gatherings.
“We’re here to have fun, to be kind, and to help people feel seen,” she says. “We’re not here to judge. We’re here to welcome.”
