Dan Rooney Wants to Paint Everyone in Tampa!

For the past 36 years, Dan Rooney has been painting and repairing everything in Tampa. Houses, apartments, even Retirement homes.

Dan is the owner of Dan’s Drywall & Painting. Born and raised in Indiana, now living In Tampa with his wife of an amazing 40 years with 3 daughters and 1 son. And of course, a raving Bucs fan! Dan loves the Tampa area for the weather, beaches, and because it’s a fisherman’s paradise!

We sat down with Dan for a quick interview –

Q: How did you get into this profession?
A: “It started as a high school summer job and turned into my career.”

Q: How many people work for you?
A: “Dan Vargas (Son-in-law) and some contractors as needed.”

Q: Being a painter Dan works directly with many people, we asked him what is the most unusual situation that ever happened to him on the job?
A: “While it may not be the most unusual experience out there, my most memorable was a job I had at a nursing home and getting to know each of the residents living there. That changed my life.”

Q: If you could share one tip with the readers for choosing a drywaller or painter, what would it be?
A: “Make sure and choose someone that will show up on time as it tells a lot about the person.”
