Bigfork, Montana – In the picturesque town of Bigfork, nestled among lakes and mountains with Glacier National Park just a stone’s throw away, two brothers are about to tee off on an exciting new business venture. Zak Clayton and his brother Tyler are set to open Fairways Golf Simulators, a state-of-the-art facility that promises to keep golf enthusiasts swinging all year round.
The grand opening of Fairways Golf Simulators is set for October 19th, and the Clayton brothers are pulling out all the stops to introduce their new facility to the community. The event will feature food, drinks, games, and pop-up vendors, allowing everyone to experience cutting-edge technology for free. It’s an opportunity for Bigfork residents to see firsthand how Fairways is set to transform the local golfing scene.
“We love playing golf,” Zak explains, “but here in Bigfork, the golf season is really short due to our long winters.” This challenge sparked an idea that would solve not only their own golfing woes but also provide a valuable service to the entire golfing community. The Clayton brothers have experienced firsthand the frustration of losing their golf skills over the winter months. “Every spring, after a long winter break, it feels like you’re starting from scratch,” Zak says. This shared experience led them to create Fairways Golf Simulators, where golfers can keep their game sharp regardless of the weather outside.
What sets Fairways apart is its use of top-of-the-line Trackman simulators. “These are the same systems used by professional golfers on tour,” Zak proudly states. The technology provides detailed feedback on every swing, allowing golfers to analyze and improve their game with unprecedented precision. But Fairways isn’t just about high-tech golf practice. The facility will offer lessons for those looking to learn the sport and improve their game, run leagues for competitive play, and provide space for business and group events. They’ve partnered with Andy’s Craft House next door to offer food and beverage service, turning Fairways into more than just a place to golf – it’s a gathering space for friends and families to enjoy time together.
For avid golfers, Fairways is introducing a Loyalty Club, where members can earn points to redeem for discounts on future reservations. To make it all convenient, bookings for tee times can be made online.
For Zak and Tyler, opening Fairways Golf Simulators is the realization a long-held dream. “My brother and I have always talked about doing something together business-wise,” Zak reflects. “This is the first thing we’ve done together.” The journey has been a learning experience for both brothers. “We’ve learned a lot more about golf in general,” Zak chuckles, “and we’ve learned more about one another because we’ve never had that business relationship before.”
Zak and Tyler are family men, balancing their new business venture with the joys and challenges of parenthood. Tyler and his wife are parents to three children with a fourth on the way, while Zak and his wife recently welcomed their first child, a son, just ten months ago. This family-oriented mindset is reflected in their business approach. Fairways Golf Simulators is designed to be a place for everyone, from youth golfers to retirees and families to solo players.
The Clayton brothers are deeply rooted in their community, both in their personal lives and through their new business. When they’re not on the golf course or working on Fairways, both Zak and Tyler enjoy hunting. Zak has also developed some exciting hobbies that showcase his love for craftsmanship and flavor – he roasts coffee and brews beer. Their commitment to the community extends beyond their interests; they actively support local charities, including an organization called Youth with a Mission, as well as their local churches. This dedication to giving back is an integral part of their business philosophy.
With their slogan, “Golf season doesn’t have to end,” Fairways Golf Simulators is poised to become a year-round hub for golf enthusiasts in Bigfork and beyond. As Zak puts it, “It’s something that has brought joy to us, and we wanted to offer it to other people as well.”
For golf lovers in Bigfork, the game is about to change. Thanks to the Clayton brothers’ vision and passion, the fairways will always be open, no matter the season. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the grand opening on October 19th – it’s your chance to be among the first to experience this exciting new addition to Bigfork’s recreational landscape.
