Kenny G. Lassiter, the Sr. Co-Owner of Handi Boyz LLC, is living in Ambler for the past 20 years and running his business with two owners and four employees. Born in Philadelphia, Kenny is a raving Philadelphia sports fan. The location of Handi Boyz was originally an Auto Reupholstery Business (Ambler Reupholstery), which was owned and run by his wife’s father, who used to drove 25 miles every day from Philadelphia. After his father-in-law’s passing, Kenny turned to Handi Boyz, but he still comes across customers visiting the address for the reupholstery business.
Kenny is what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, a self-made entrepreneur who brings true value to his community. High standards of professionalism and the strong work ethics of small business owners like Kenny are the cornerstones of the Ambler economy.

Kenny is happily married with 8 children and 6 grandchildren. He mentions that experiencing the birth of his first son and then experiencing it 4 more times had been the most significant events of his life. He loves to play Golf and also the peaceful community of Ambler.
We sat down with Kenny for a quick interview –
Q: Why do you do what you do?
A: We firmly stand behind our tagline, “HandiBoyz, Done right the first time!” It is our honest determination to provide the highest quality of craftsmanship and industry-leading parts so that our customers are rest assured that our done right gutter installation or repair services will not only protect their property from water damage but also enhance the value of the home.
Q: How did you get into this profession?
A: After getting laid-off from Corporate America, I was not left with any other choice but to reboot Handi Boyz with my son as a partner, making it a veteran and family-owned business. By providing 100% satisfactory Gutter Installation, Gutter Repair, and Gutter Guards services, we are building a family legacy by creating jobs and opportunities for our family and the community.
Kenny had been successful in providing the most adequate quality and complete content to his customers, which led him to achieve several recognitions, including Home Advisor Elite Contractor and Thumbtack, Comcast Rise Program Award, and Exclusive Gutter Glove Authorized Installer.
Q: What’s the most unusual situation that ever happened to you on the job?
A: In the first month of running our business, our total revenue was $10,000, which surprised the owners.
