A Carob Dream: Holistic Healing Rooted in Purpose

If traditional therapy has felt out of touch or incomplete, you’re not alone. A Carob Dream is here to change that. Founded by licensed clinical counselor Asya Gough, this upcoming holistic wellness practice is centered on deep healing—emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical.

Based in Akron, Ohio, and soon expanding to New Orleans, A Carob Dream offers personalized services for people often overlooked by conventional systems—particularly those in marginalized and underserved communities. Asya’s mission is clear: to provide genuine care and transformative healing, not just coping strategies.

 

A Personal Journey Becomes a Community Mission

After facing depression, autoimmune illness, and financial challenges, Asya realized healing had to go deeper. Her own spiritual awakening inspired her to help others find the same freedom from past trauma and spiritual disconnect. Born and raised in Akron, and soon moving to the culturally rich community of New Orleans, Asya’s roots and future both influence her mission.

Asya’s drive comes not just from clinical experience, but from a deeply personal calling. As a woman of color who’s lived through hardship and healing, she’s committed to serving others who may feel overlooked by traditional care models. She’s also a passionate film critic, food lover, and community builder who believes in living fully—surrounded by pets, family, and joy. Her journey has been anything but conventional, and she embraces that fully, using it to connect with clients on a real human level.
