GTM Inc. is the parent company of GTM Entertainment and Film. It is a female-owned, minority-owned, Latina-owned company focused on creating diverse and multicultural content that entertains, educates, and inspires. GTM Inc. Founder and CEO, Glenda Torres, is on a mission to make a difference in the entertainment industry. Her company offers a variety of services, including film-making, talent management, and entertainment in the form of music festivals and private events. GTM operates globally, with its headquarters in St. Augustine, FL, and additional offices in Puerto Rico, New York, and Los Angeles, CA. The company’s ideal customer persona is individuals in the entertainment industry who want to produce educational, entertaining, and inclusive content and those who are seeking opportunities in the industry, particularly Latinos and African Americans, who may otherwise not have the opportunity to pursue their dreams of a career in the industry.
What sets GTM Entertainment apart from its competitors is its’ focus on building relationships and only working on projects that align with their core values and are compatible for both parties. Glenda Torres started the company in 2021 after being laid off by the financial institution she had worked for as an officer, and AVP closed several locations during COVID-19. She decided to make a career change that would enable her to make a difference in the world. She is a passionate, faith-driven Latina who believes that God has blessed her, and in turn, she is committed to providing the same opportunities and blessings to others. Her passion for filmmaking was inspired by her trip to Puerto Rico during the COVID-19 pandemic on a mission to produce a documentary that takes viewers on a journey of discovery, education, and appreciation for the Puerto Rican people and the island in a way it’s never been told before. During her year-long visits to the island, she earned the support and participation of over 45 locations, officials, business owners, and locals who respected and appreciated her vision and respectful approach to the documentary and all those involved.
GTM Entertainment & Film is a company built on passion and a desire to make an impact. Torres, who was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and grew up in New York and Connecticut until 2014, when she transferred to Florida. The company employs six people and is growing steadily. It began with one intern, Luis de Jesus, the first person who came onboard as a camera man, and remains as a contractor as he pursues a career in professional sports and trains for the Olympics. Jarelys Sambolin joined Torres shortly after de Jesus and is an integral member of the leadership team
Torres believes that life is short and that you have to do meaningful and impactful things every day. She was diagnosed with life-altering, chronic diseases in 2016, which ignited her commitment to leave a legacy for her children and grandchildren that inspires them to be change-makers and never settle. When asked what sets GTM Entertainment apart, Torres said, “It’s about building long-term relationships to identify the highest level of quality for our clients.” The company is in the process of registering their non-profit, Puertorriqueños in Film, and partners with non-profits such as Impact Release, the North Florida Puerto Rican Physicians Association, and others that align with the GTM goals and business lines. GTM offers discounts and custom services to specialty groups, including women-owned, veteran-owned, and education institutions with art-focused curricula geared towards Latinos.
