Philadelphia native Saleem Rouse is on a mission to reintroduce health, wellness, and positivity into his community. As the founder of Healthy Sheikh, he proudly runs what he calls Philadelphia’s only mobile juicing business. Every bottle he creates is made fresh daily with real fruits, vegetables, and a carefully chosen selection of holistic natural remedies — all blended with intention and purpose.
Healthy Sheikh is more than a juice brand. It’s a movement built on healing, nourishment, and community uplift.

Before launching Healthy Sheikh, Saleem faced a challenge that would have broken many people. He spent 23 years in prison due to a wrongful conviction — an experience he speaks about openly, not for sympathy, but to show others what’s possible after injustice.
During that time, he studied, reflected, and committed himself to returning home with purpose. Instead of letting the experience define him negatively, Saleem used it as motivation to build something meaningful, healthy, and healing for the very community he missed while he was away.
His comeback story is one of strength, faith, and transformation — and Healthy Sheikh is the proof.
Instead of operating from a storefront, Healthy Sheikh is entirely mobile. Saleem travels across Philadelphia, appearing at community pop-ups, wellness events, and neighborhood markets. He also fulfills direct orders, bringing his blends directly to customers.
This mobility has naturally created deeper community connections.
“I love explaining my juices to people,” he shares. “I love being out in the community and seeing how it impacts them.”
With demand growing beyond city limits, Saleem is now preparing to begin shipping to customers throughout New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Virginia, and even the Carolinas.
The vision for Healthy Sheikh began long before the first bottle was sold. Over time, Saleem studied food, healing, and natural remedies, imagining one day creating something that could help people feel better from the inside out.
After returning home earlier this year, he bet on himself. He began juicing right from his kitchen, and through dedication and overwhelming community support, Healthy Sheikh quickly took off — surpassing 2,100 bottles sold since July. And how does it all come full circle for Saleem? Unbeknownst to him, his father and grandfather were both “mobile juicers” in the late 70’s-early 80’s, selling fruits & vegetables off of a truck that went all across Philadelphia.
Every step is handled personally: Saleem buys the ingredients, creates the blends, bottles them, freezes them, delivers them, and markets the brand. Healthy Sheikh is powered by work ethic, faith, love, and gratitude.
For Saleem, juicing is therapeutic.
“Juicing is my quiet time. It’s where I think, reflect, and create. I really love doing this.”
Outside of juicing, he stays active in the community, playing basketball, working out, participating in events, and showing love to other small businesses. His philosophy is simple:
“There’s enough room in this world for all of us to win.”
Because of that, he regularly supports and reposts other small businesses — as long as they spread positivity.
