In the heart of Massillon’s Historic District, tucked away on a charming downtown street, sits a hidden gem that’s quietly transforming lives. Jade Miller’s journey to opening Lotus Grove reads like a testament to the power of manifestation. After spending 20 years in the corporate insurance world, she found herself at a crossroads when her agency was sold to someone she describes as “a horrible person.” Eight days later, she walked away from her corporate career and embarked on a six-month journey of self-discovery.
“I just got to a point where there has to be something different,” Jade reflects. “There just has to be more than wake up, go to work, be stressed, come home, be dead tired. There’s just got to be more.”
The universe, it seems, was listening.
In May 2019, Jade sat down with a friend and painted a vivid picture of her dream wellness space. She described exactly how it would look: a retail area up front, practitioner rooms in the back, and a welcoming space for people to gather and heal. She had no idea that 18 months later, she would be standing in the exact space she had envisioned, holding the keys to her own business.
The opportunity came through what Jade calls divine alignment. While teaching wellness classes at a local health food store, the owner suddenly announced she was moving out of state. “I’m probably going to shut down the business,” the owner said. “Thanks for coming and have a nice day.”
In that moment, Jade faced a choice that would change her life forever. “I was like, am I really doing this? What would it take for me to continue doing this?” She took over the lease, and in December 2020, Lotus Grove Wellness opened its doors with the exact layout she had described to her friend months earlier.
“I literally manifested it, created it, and opened the doors,” Jade says. “I’m living proof of full-on manifestation.”
Lotus Grove Wellness defies easy categorization. As an alternative holistic wellness boutique, it serves as a sanctuary for those seeking natural approaches to healing—whether physical, mental, or spiritual. But what sets it apart is Jade’s vision of creating a space where people genuinely care about each other.
“We’re not just your exclusive, one-stop shop,” Jade explains. “We actually have an array of healers that care. You’re not just a number. You’re not just a customer. We actually physically care. We message people when we hear that their dad passed away. We haven’t seen them for a while, and we check in to see if everything’s okay.”
The center operates as a collective of artisans and practitioners who work out of the space, not for it. This creates a unique community where visitors can access everything from energy healing and plant medicine guidance to retail items crafted by local artisans. They even welcome people who just need a quiet place to do homework or parents who need someone to watch their children while they take a mental health break.
One of Jade’s most passionate missions is bridging the gap between traditional medicine and holistic healing. Lotus Grove offers discounts to medical professionals, military personnel, veterans, and first responders—not just as a gesture of gratitude, but as part of a larger vision.
“Having that alliance with the traditional medical field has been one thing that I’ve been working on,” Jade explains. “Trying to get more traditional medical people okay with the alternative holistic side and see that it’s not crazy—it is good.”
Located in a traditional area with deep-rooted history, Jade acknowledges that introducing alternative wellness can be challenging. “Sometimes breaking that mold is a little difficult, but it’s actually rewarding to come in as this different person, offering an alternative approach, and just breaking that stereotype down.”
When asked about her ideal customer, Jade’s answer is beautifully simple: “Anyone who has a soul that is on a precipice of they want something different.” She serves people who feel that conventional approaches aren’t working for them—whether they’re dealing with physical health issues, mental health challenges, or spiritual disconnection.
The results speak for themselves. With over 60 Google reviews and a conversion rate where more than half of first-time visitors become regular clients, Lotus Grove has found its community. People travel from Cleveland, Columbus, and everywhere in between to experience what Jade has created.
Jade’s commitment to healing extends far beyond her business walls. She’s actively involved with Operation Underground Railroad, supporting organizations that help survivors of human trafficking. “We’re very big on helping anybody who is in a position of anything near that,” she says. “Please come to us. We will help you. We will be a place that you can come to feel safe.”
This dedication to service reflects the deeper purpose behind Lotus Grove—it’s not just about business success, but about creating a safe haven for healing and growth.
Perhaps the most powerful testament to Lotus Grove’s impact comes from watching clients transform over time. Jade lights up when discussing the journey she witnesses: “I’ve had people that come back in on a regular basis, and just to watch their journey when they first came in to months later, weeks or years later, and to just see their progress of evolving into beautiful people. It’s so amazing.”
One particular story stands out: a gentleman who came for an intuitive reading and later returned to thank her. The guidance she provided helped him navigate challenges that could have been financially, emotionally, and physically devastating. “Sometimes you don’t know how good you’ve helped somebody until they come in and tell you,” Jade reflects.
As Lotus Grove approaches its fifth anniversary, Jade’s vision continues to expand. She dreams of offering retreats and possibly opening a second location within five years. But her ultimate goal remains unchanged: supporting people in their journey toward wholeness.
“There is no limit to your creation. There’s no limit to your manifestation,” Jade says. “You can create your reality because I’ve done it, and I teach people how to do it on a daily basis.”
