When Ana Rivera’s daughter started dancing at just four years old, Ana quickly realized there was no dance supply store near their home. For 15 years, there was no local shop within a 45-minute radius where dancers could try on their shoes. Determined to find a solution, she founded Jive Dance Shop in Kissimmee three and a half years ago, filling a local gap for parents and dancers of all ages.
What sets Jive Dance Shop apart is its deep commitment to affordability and the personal touch of its in-store shopping experience. Ana knows that dancers and parents want the confidence to try on items before buying, and her brick-and-mortar store provides just that.
Her shop has also become an approved vendor for the local school districts, allowing her to offer group discounts to local dance programs, making dance accessible to even more students. Teachers sometimes reach out to Ana on behalf of students in need and Jive Dance Shop has been happy to sponsor more than fifty students by supplying them with everything needed for dance class free of charge. Her commitment to giving back reflects her belief that dance should be a joyful experience for everyone, regardless of their situation.
Ana is an enthusiastic supporter of Florida’s new NBA team, the Osceola Magic—but her biggest cheers are for the dancers who light up the halftime shows. Many of these talented performers turn to Jive Dance Shop for their gear, and Ana loves seeing them shine on the court.
Looking forward, Ana’s commitment to her customers and her community remains strong. She is grateful for the unwavering support from parents, local schools, and dance organizations that have helped build the foundation of her business. With her roots firmly planted in Kissimmee, Ana’s vision for Jive Dance Shop continues to focus on serving the community she loves.
