Easy Grip - empowering children with disabilities

In the heart of Newport, Michigan, a passionate entrepreneur is revolutionizing baby products with purpose and heart. Kayla Williams, a mother of three and founder of Easy Grip Baby Bottles, is turning her personal experiences into a mission to empower children with disabilities and support early developmental skills.

A Mother’s Challenge Inspires a Solution

Kayla’s journey began ten years ago when her first child was born five weeks premature. Faced with the challenge of feeding her son, who had underdeveloped oral muscles, she designed a unique bottle holder with an easy-to-grip design. This simple yet innovative solution became a game-changer, not only for her firstborn but also for her other children.

“Every one of my children has used it,” Kayla shares proudly. Inspired by the success within her family, she saw a broader potential to help other parents and children facing similar challenges.

Empowering Children with Disabilities

Kayla’s primary mission is to give children with disabilities the tools to gain confidence and independence in self-feeding. “When kids feel confident, it opens the door to so much more,” she explains. “It’s not just about feeding—it’s about building the foundation for their development and independence.”

Having three children on the autism spectrum, Kayla understands the importance of adaptive products. Designed for children of all abilities, Easy Grip Baby Bottles are especially beneficial for kids with physical and developmental challenges. One early customer review even noted that a child born without fingers could use their toes to hold the bottle and self-feed—a testament to its thoughtful design.

From Crafting Prototypes to Innovative Production

What began as a handmade prototype has evolved into a product created with modern 3D printing technology. Kayla partnered with an independent contractor, Matt, a firefighter with exceptional 3D printing skills, to refine her design. Together, they ensured compatibility with various popular bottle brands while prioritizing safety, functionality, and adaptability.

Kayla envisions this process as more than just manufacturing—it’s an opportunity to inspire and employ young adults interested in 3D printing. “I want to bridge the gap between creativity and employment,” she shares, highlighting her vision of fostering innovation and offering meaningful opportunities.

A Family-Driven Business

Kayla’s business is built on family values and the support of a small but dedicated team. Her husband plays a hands-on role in production, while her friend Alexandra acts as the “head of research and social media,” helping Kayla navigate the complexities of marketing and business strategy.

“Every step of this journey has been a team effort,” Kayla reflects. “My family and friends have been my rock, motivating me to keep going, even on tough days.”

Looking Ahead: Growth and Community Impact

As Easy Grip Baby Bottles grows, Kayla is exploring partnerships with organizations like autism-focused charities and early developmental programs. She also plans to expand her product line to fit sippy cups and adult water bottles. Custom orders are also available.

“I want to create something that not only helps children but also strengthens families and communities,” she says. Kayla also dreams of scaling her production and exploring platforms like Amazon or Walmart Marketplace, while continuing to attend local vendor shows to connect with her community.

A Mission Rooted in Purpose

Kayla Williams is driven by a clear mission: to empower children with disabilities and foster their independence. Through her innovative designs and heartfelt dedication, she is making strides toward a more inclusive world where all children can thrive.
