44 years in Auto Repair

Barney’s Auto Repair, LLC has been in business for 44 years, providing full auto repair, in Wasilla, Alaska. Clifford Barney took over that business when his father passed away several years ago. He has been working on vehicles since he was 13 years old, and has made it his life’s ambition to be as good a mechanic as his father was.

Clifford mentions his father in the highest regard. He says that his father was always “willing to share his knowledge with me and recognized how much I was committed to making being a mechanic my life’s career. He was a man with the natural ability to do auto diagnostics then do the repair needed to make it right. He was a man with a very strong work ethic, a man committed to making his business a success and who was willing to pass both on to me.”

Clifford may not have been born in Wasilla, but has lived there for the last 20 years. He is married and has children. As a matter of fact, his son works with him at Barney’s Auto Repair. Clifford’s favorite hobby is racing Sprint cars, and he has even won a championship! His most valued life event was winning the Junior World Championship for dog mushing Sprint Class, five times in a row, in Alaska at the Tozier Track. With those wins, he learned that commitment and hard work do truly have their rewards.

Barney’s Auto Repair’s customers come from far and wide, some from as far as Anchorage. The Google reviews are there to prove that the shop is very well-liked, as well, with a rating of 4.0! The shop is there to perform all your maintenance and repair needs for residential customers for their everyday transportation, and their commercial customers to fulfill their contracts.
