Glad Fashion House – where Clothing & Culture unite

By Maurice Moore on November 5, 2021

Dixon Nyasndieka

In his drive to learn everything about fashion, Dixon Nyandieka reinvented clothing by making a persistent bet on both fashion and culture. Dixon and his Glad Fashion House team of exceptional Fashion Designers have been shaping lives through the power of clothes in Minneapolis and worldwide for the past 7 years. He believes that clothes are more than a material to protect the body, they are a signifier of our culture and individuality.

“What makes us different is that we are inspired by our heritage and keep reviving fashion that represents African culture without sacrificing style. We offer high-quality handmade designs curated with love that keep culture as an integral part.”

Dixon Nyandieka is the owner of Glad Fashion House, a family man with kids since 2012, and of course, a raving Minnesota Viking fan. He had a very humble beginning. His entrepreneurship story started when he lost his job and only had 100 dollars left. He took the leap of faith and landed on a new route to pursue his passion. He bought fabric and a sewing machine from Walmart, but he did not know how to sew. So he turned to YouTube for sewing lessons. His determination and hard work helped him sail through easily, and he eventually found people who loved his creations.

In Dixon’s own words, “Follow your passion and be real to yourself. Never give up. Life has its own ways of carving the right path for you, and once you are at it, master it.”

Dixon is what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, a self-made entrepreneur who brings true value to his community. High standards of professionalism and the strong work ethics of small business owners like Dixon are the infrastructures of the Minneapolis economy.

Fashion Glad House

When asked for fashion advice, Dixon always emphasizes wearing clothes that resonate with the personality and culture, and he does not recommend wearing patterns over patterns.

For those of you who are looking for a professional fashion designer for any type of work, the Glad Fashion House should be your first choice. Dixon Nyandieka allows individualism to set foot into African culture with his unique designs. His new take on clothing is a perfect example of how culture and fashion go hand in hand.
