Meet Jana Miranda: Owner of J.Capelli Salon

By Brandon & Nina Skaggs on February 12, 2025

J.Capelli Salon

Nestled in the heart of League City, Texas, J.Capelli Salon is more than just a full-service salon—it’s a place where beauty, creativity, and the community come together. At the helm is Jana Miranda, a dedicated business owner with a passion for making people feel confident and beautiful.

The Name Behind the Brand

J.Capelli Salon

When Jana set out to name her salon, she wanted something unique and meaningful. Inspired by the word capelli (which means “hair” in Italian), she added her initial “J” for a personal touch. “J.Capelli” was born with a vision to bring beautiful hair and a personalized product line—J.Capelli Take Home—to life. Although asked very often, Jana is not Italian! The name just has a good ring to it!

A One-Stop Shop for Beauty

J.Capelli Salon is a full-service hair haven, offering cuts, colors, extensions, and more. The Salon team is also known as the “fix-it salon”—a trusted destination for clients needing expert solutions for hair mishaps. But it doesn’t stop there. With luxury suites featuring Stylists & an esthetician providing  skincare and massage services, the salon is a one-stop destination for self-care.

A Legacy of Customer Service

What truly sets J.Capelli Salon apart is its unwavering commitment to old-fashioned, personalized customer service. In a world where genuine connection often feels fleeting, Jana and her team prioritize creating a warm, welcoming experience for every client.

A Journey Fueled by Passion

Jana’s journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur is nothing short of inspiring. As a young mother, she faced challenges with determination, using her passion to build a thriving business. Today, she attributes her success to resilience, hard work, and the support of her husband, who encourages her bold ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.

Awards and Community Involvement

J.Capelli Salon has earned recognition as the 2024 Best Salon of the Year (CommunityVotes.com) and a 2022 Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite, solidifying its place as a trusted favorite in the League City area. The salon also gives back through local charities and silent auction donations, showing its commitment to the community it serves.

A Diverse and Welcoming Community

Jana loves League City for its diverse, friendly vibe and proximity to both Houston and Galveston. Being close to the water and enjoying the area’s low crime rate make it the perfect place to live and work.

The Final Touch

At J.Capelli Salon, the mission is simple: to make clients feel and look their best. “The most rewarding feeling,” Jana says, “is helping someone feel good about themselves. We love making the community look better, one person at a time.”
