Dina Marks, founder of Naturally Oily, is turning heads in San Luis Obispo County with her handcrafted, plant-based skincare and wellness products. Her journey began not in a lab or a boardroom, but in the kitchen. As a former pastry chef, Dina was no stranger to whipping up creative concoctions. But a life-altering health diagnosis prompted her to explore how natural ingredients could help the body heal from the outside in.
After overcoming cancer, Dina questioned the conventional advice she received during her treatment. Her own research led her down the path of herbalism and holistic health. Motivated by the idea that everyday products could contribute to long-term wellness, she trained as both a certified nutritionist and an herbalist.

She’s currently studying hydroponic herb farming and exploring how her skincare line can be adapted safely for animals. Though based in a quiet part of San Luis Obispo County, Naturally Oily is making waves beyond local borders. Beyond the business, Dina is an avid hiker and former CrossFit coach who loves spending time outdoors, kayaking and exploring California’s rolling hills and ocean views. She relocated to San Luis Obispo County from the Bay Area after her treatment to be closer to family, and she’s never looked back.
