When it comes to dog training, Aiden O’Driscoll stands out—not just for his skill, but for his deep understanding of canine behavior and commitment to positive reinforcement. As the owner of A1 Dog Training, Aiden has spent over a decade helping pet owners build stronger, more trusting relationships with their dogs. His unique approach, patience, and passion for dogs set him apart from the competition.
If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog with care, respect, and expertise, Aiden is your guy.
Aiden believes that training should be fun—both for the dog and the owner. “I want dogs to enjoy learning,” he explains. “If training feels like a chore, they won’t engage. But when a dog is excited to work with you, that’s when the real magic happens.”
Unlike some trainers who rely on choke chains, shock collars, or force-based methods, Aiden focuses on positive reinforcement—using rewards, encouragement, and patience to build a bond of trust between dogs and their owners.
“I don’t force dogs to do anything,” he says. “If a dog isn’t responding, I take a step back and figure out how to make training fun for them.”
There are a lot of dog trainers out there, but Aiden’s confidence and credibility make him one of the best. Here’s what makes him different:
✔ 10+ Years of Experience – He has trained countless dogs, from playful puppies to reactive rescues.
✔ Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator – He helps dogs earn official certifications that prove they are well-mannered members of society.
✔ Extensive Service Area – He serves The Woodlands, Magnolia, Spring, and Houston, Texas, traveling up to 55 miles to meet his clients.
✔ Military & First Responder Discounts – He offers a 20% discount as a thank-you to those who serve.
✔ Specialized Therapy Dog Training – He works with therapy dog organizations to train and certify dogs for emotional support roles.
Aiden’s expertise doesn’t stop at dogs. One of his most memorable training experiences involved a pig—yes, a pig!
“I had a client who asked me if I could train their pig,” he laughs. “At first, I wasn’t sure, but I figured why not? Training a pig is actually a lot like training a dog—they respond to positive reinforcement just the same.”
With some patience and the right approach, Aiden successfully trained the pig, proving that his skills go beyond just canines.
One of Aiden’s proudest moments came when he was working with a dog who was supposedly terrified of men.
“The owner told me their dog was too scared to ever trust a male trainer,” he recalls. “But I saw potential. Instead of forcing interaction, I took it slow. I let the dog get comfortable with me on their own terms.”
Over the course of a week, Aiden gradually built trust with the dog—until, on the final day, he walked the dog out on a leash to its amazed owner.
“She couldn’t believe it,” he says. “Patience and trust-building are everything in dog training.”
Aiden’s passion for animals started early. Born in Canada, he later moved to Texas, where he built his life and business. “I met my wife online,” he shares. “We dated for a few years before I decided to move down here.”
Now, he runs A1 Dog Training with the help of his wife, who manages the business side of things.
“I do the training, but she keeps everything running smoothly,” he says. “She deserves a lot of credit.”
Aiden’s long-term goal is to expand A1 Dog Training into a full-scale training facility where he can focus exclusively on helping dogs and their owners.
“In five years, I want to have my own dedicated space,” he says. “Right now, I do a lot of Rover jobs and in-home training, but eventually, I want to run a facility where we can do more advanced training programs.”
If you’re looking for a trainer who will treat your dog like family, Aiden O’Driscoll is the one to call. His patience, experience, and deep understanding of canine behavior make him the perfect choice for any dog owner.
“Dogs don’t need to be forced into learning,” Aiden says. “With the right approach, they’ll WANT to work with you.”
