Sanford, ME – It’s been a long road for Alfred Elamin. For the past three years, his team at National Saving Fatherhood Foundation have helped men navigate a jungle. Albert, a single parent of two, has been fighting for the rights of families and fathers for three years in the Boston area. The family courts and legal system have become possibly even more difficult than a literal jungle but with the machete of wisdom, experience, training and support, cutting through that jungle can be manageable.
As an impressionable youth, the absence of Alfred’s father had a profound impact on his life, and as an adult he realized that it permanently scarred him.

Alfred said, “So I turned all that pain into passion. That is why I am so confident the work our foundation does is vital to having strong families, communities, and a collective future for our children.”
He is what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, and as you can see, not all “businesses” are chasing the proverbial “Benjamins”. He’s even more of a hero because he cares about his family, community and all children and is putting action to his beliefs.
We sat down with Alfred for a quick interview:
Why do you do what you do?
“Had my own issues with my relationship breaking down and custody became my first customer.”
There are quite a few options for people who need this kind of help. What makes you different from others in your market?
“We offer an end-to-end solution, not just legal help. Not just child support assistance. Since I personally went through this, I saw gaps in the services available. Rarely does someone offer a HOTLINE. No one offers to help PAY child support for you. That’s the difference.”
How did you get into this profession?
“There’s always been a need, I saw a chance to take action and make positive change. ”
What is the most significant event in your life?
“I realized when my friend died over a custody issue, that these issues are more important than I ever knew.“
If you could share one tip with the readers for choosing an advocate for their father’s rights, what would it be?
“Your actions as a father have a domino effect on everyone around you. It is important to get competent help because more than you may realize is riding on it.“
Alfred’s active in the Lewiston and Sanford Chambers of Commerce. He offers discounts to civil service, active duty military, and veterans.
But he can’t do it alone. If you need help or can donate or support him in any way, please visit National Saving Fatherhood Foundation at www.nsfatherhood.org or email: nsfatherhood@gmail.com
