Joanna Tress is no stranger to creativity. With a background in performing arts and a lifetime of nurturing imagination, she’s carved out a space as a guiding light for those seeking to reignite their creative passions. Joanna has been building a vibrant community that champions creative expression for over three years, no matter where you are on your journey. Joanna’s five-dimensional workshops help individuals turn their dreams into tangible realities, whether online or in person.
How It All Began
Joanna’s journey started with a deep personal passion for creativity. Early on, she recognized the profound impact that artistic expression could have on both personal fulfillment and stress management. Though her creative pursuits weren’t always monetized, the satisfaction and joy that came from her work fueled her drive to help others achieve their artistic goals.
In 2005, Joanna had a transformative experience when her local group opened for the pop band Air Supply during their 30th anniversary tour—that moment left a lasting impact on her. After marrying her husband, Matt, Joanna knew it was the right time to pursue her dreams, feeling inspired to take action. Shortly after, they launched Mattanna 5D Experiences—a creative venture combining their names and passion for artistry and innovation.
Her mission is clear: to provide tools, support, and a safe space for late bloomers in the creative field. Many of Joanna’s clients once harbored creative dreams that life put on hold. With her help, they find the courage and guidance to pursue those dreams again. “We stand for people of all backgrounds to be fully expressed and supported in beautifying the world with their unique creative artistry,” says Joanna.
A Unique Experience: The Five-Dimensional Workshop
What sets Joanna apart is her unique approach to creative coaching. She offers interactive five-dimensional workshops designed to stimulate all five senses—sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell—while also activating the imagination. These workshops are not just about learning, but about experiencing creativity in a multi-sensory way. Drawing on the teachings of renowned figures like Bob Proctor, Joanna’s workshops don’t just stop at sensory engagement; they tap into higher faculties like perception, will, reason, intuition, and memory to create truly immersive experiences.
Joanna’s approach isn’t just theoretical. Her methods have helped her transform a musical theater production from an idea in her head to a staged reality in just 93 days. This hands-on, practical system is something she offers to those who attend her workshops, guiding them from concept to completion within a supportive and collaborative environment, instilling a sense of reassurance and confidence in their creative journey.
Who Are Joanna’s Clients?
Joanna’s workshops attract a wide range of participants, but most are professional women over 35, many of whom balance careers and family life. These women are drawn to Joanna’s nurturing, community-driven approach, where they can freely express their creativity and be supported at every step.
Joanna’s focus on building a strong, inclusive community is one of the key factors that sets her apart. After each event, participants exchange social media information, follow up with resources, and even collaborate on projects. “There’s power in community,” she explains, “and we make sure that everyone feels welcomed and accepted, no matter where they are in their creative process.”
Virtual and In-Person Events
Operating primarily from Orlando, Florida, Joanna’s workshops have expanded beyond the local scene to reach people nationwide. Her events, whether virtual or in person, create a party-like atmosphere where creativity is celebrated, and participants leave with a blueprint for bringing their artistic visions to life.
Joanna envisions her creative coaching and musical theater production expanding globally, offering workshops in cities worldwide to engage with local communities and inspire new generations of artists.
Looking Ahead
Joanna Tress’s passion for creativity and community-building is infectious. As she continues to grow her platform, she focuses on helping individuals tap into their artistic potential, offering personal guidance tailored to each participant’s needs.
Her message to aspiring artists is simple: “Take just a little bit of time to stay active in your craft.” With her support, people discover it’s always possible to rekindle their creative spark and live a life filled with imagination, joy, and purpose.
