After the passing of her father, she found herself battling stress and insomnia, which led to various health issues, including skin problems, lack of focus, mood swings and digestive distress. Traditional medicine fell short, causing more problems than solutions, but after following an NYU neurologists suggestion to use lavender (only organic and pure) and a serendipitous visit to a lavender festival in Italy introduced her to an ancient lavender species known for its therapeutic properties and its most delicate aroma.
“I struggled to find a good all-natural lavender that worked,” Valentina recalls. “When I discovered this true lavender, it changed everything for me. My friends and colleagues noticed my improvement, and that’s how LyLa-Lab began. The company started with the original 20 plants and through careful cultivation is now over 4000 plants”.

It is grown in San Giorgio a Liri (one hour South of Rome), between the Montecassino Abbey and the dreamy beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea coast. This is the perfect climate conditions all year long to grow the precious plants. Each summer, she travels to Italy to harvest and distill her lilac lavender, ensuring the highest quality for her elixir products.
