Since 1964, the Hawaiian Rent-All team having been renting out everything from chainsaws and lawnmowers to generators and excavators, and more recently, even tables, chairs, and canopies for events of all kinds.

We sat down with the business owner Scott Jung to learn more about his business and what makes Hawaiian Rent-All so special.

“What makes us different is that whatever you may need, we have got you covered, from residential and garden tools to big construction jobs or even party rentals for social gatherings or public events.”

“Whether it is Royce, our Sales Manager, or Lee who takes care of our party business, ‘No’ is just not a word that we like to use. This gives our customers real confidence, knowing that we will take care of them.”

Scott is what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, a self-made entrepreneur who brings true value to his community. High standards of professionalism and the strong work ethics of small business owners like Scott are the passionate lifeblood of any local economy, particularly in these times.

When Scott and his brother David took on this business over 3 years ago, they knew how important their customers and community would be, but Scott says that the support received from their local community in recent times has been “simply incredible.”

Scott and David do much to give back to supporting the local business ecosystem and the community as Hawaiian Rent-All supports the Special Olympics as a long-term main partner, in addition to working with the homeless community.

We sat down with Scott for a quick interview –

Q: Why do you do what you do?

A: “We just love what we do and the people with whom we do it with. This business has been around since 1964, nearly 60 years, when we took over from the Loui brothers. We get a kick out of being able to source and supply everything to everyone. What we do is a continuation of that legacy.”

Q: How did you get into this profession?

A: “After a long career in banking, my brother David and I bought into this long-standing family business a few years ago. It has been a wonderful experience with exciting new challenges. Last year, in 2020, we won Hawaii’s Best Rental Company award.

Issued by the Star-Advertiser, this award is a credit to our team and the service that they provide. We could not be prouder of them”.

Q: Being new to Retail, Scott works directly with many people, we asked him what’s the most unusual situation that ever happened him on the job?

A: “Naturally, it is always an interesting experience and there are many unexpected and unusual situations, but what we really love is the relationships that we build, customers come back to us, time and time again. They know that we are there with a smile and a positive attitude, always willing to help. “

Q: If you could share one tip with the readers for choosing a Rental Business what would it be?

A: “It has to be flexibility! It’s not just the extremely wide range of equipment that we are able to provide, it is the fact that we just hate saying no. Come and talk to us, tell us what you need and we will see what we need to do. This is an attitude that every business must be able to provide and is the first thing customers should look for when choosing a rental company. “

For those of you who are looking for equipment for any type of work, Scott or Royce and the Hawaiian Rent-All team should be your first choice. Call Royce at 808-949-3961, or visit www.hawaiianrentall.com – The Guys with the Sign!
