New Smyrna Beach, Florida, has a new coffee hub, and it’s mobile! Meet Alex Santana, the owner of The Coffee Cartel, a mobile coffee shop that’s all about delivering quality brews directly to its customers. What started as a casual brainstorming session with his wife turned into a thriving business serving coffee from a trailer food truck. Let’s dive into what makes The Coffee Cartel special.
Quality Coffee, Wherever You Are
The Coffee Cartel serves one simple mission: making great coffee easily accessible. For Alex, it’s all about delivering high-quality coffee quickly and showing up where his customers need him most. From morning commuters to beachgoers in Volusia County, The Coffee Cartel is about to become a staple for coffee lovers in the area.
From Bartending to Brewing: Alex’s Inspiring Journey
Before launching The Coffee Cartel, Alex worked as a bartender and owned a CrossFit gym. But life had other plans. After deciding to quit drinking alcohol six years ago, Alex sought a fresh start that aligned with his passions. Inspired by his journey and looking for something meaningful, he and his wife turned their idea into reality.
For Alex, coffee is more than a beverage—it’s a way to connect with the community while showcasing the value of supporting local businesses. As he puts it, “Shop local. Keep it with the hometown guy.”
A Family Affair
Running The Coffee Cartel is a true family effort. Alex and his wife are the hands and hearts behind the business. Their passion and teamwork shine through in every cup they serve. The couple also finds inspiration from their family life, with Alex citing becoming a father at 40 as one of the most monumental experiences of his life. That patience and perspective translate into a warm, welcoming customer experience.
Serving Volusia County and Beyond
The Coffee Cartel proudly serves Volusia County and surrounding areas. Whether it’s a beachside morning or a bustling community event, Alex and his team are ready to bring the coffee shop experience wherever it’s needed. They’re also actively working on becoming more involved in the local business scene through networking and chamber events.
