Through grit, vision, and a deep belief in Philadelphia’s creative talent, the co-founders of Born to Win, LLC are building more than a label – they’re creating a path for artists to turn passion into a sustainable career.
In every city, there are talented artists chasing a dream. But in Philadelphia, Antonio Dimitri and Hanif Henderson saw something deeper: not a lack of talent, but a lack of structure.

That realization led them to launch Born to Win, LLC, an independent record label focused on helping artists navigate the music business with more clarity, support, and opportunity.
For Antonio and Hanif, this is not just about releasing songs. It is about building an infrastructure that allows independent musicians to grow professionally, earn consistently, and finally feel like their artistry can become a real career.
Born to Win was created to address a problem both founders knew firsthand.
“We saw a huge gap,” Antonio explains. “Major labels provide a level of professionalism and opportunity for their artists, but independent artists often don’t get that same support.”
That gap is exactly what Born to Win is working to bridge.
The company is building a system that includes music release support, distribution partnerships, marketing development, playlist strategy, management partnerships, and studio collaborations. Right now, the team is collaborating with AU27 Studio in Chester, Pennsylvania, while also working toward building its own studio presence in North Philadelphia.
Their vision is ambitious but practical: create a place where artists can come not just to record, but to build careers.
The name of the business says a lot about the mindset behind it.

Antonio and Hanif both come from humble beginnings, not wealthy families or privileged backgrounds. Still, they kept investing in themselves and their future. In fact, Antonio shared that they invested more than $25,000 in one year alone to move the business forward.
For Hanif, the name came from the simple truth of what they had already survived.
“We go through so much,” he says. “Shows, studio runs, obstacles, setbacks – and we still push forward. So why not call it Born to Win?”
That philosophy continues to define the business today. Every challenge becomes part of the story, not the end of it.
Born to Win is still in its early stages, officially launching in November 2025, but the foundation behind it is years in the making.
Both Antonio and Hanif have spent over a decade immersed in music, learning the craft from the artist side before realizing how much they still needed to understand about the business side.
Hanif reflected on that turning point openly.
“For years, we were doing music the wrong way,” he explains. “We weren’t thinking about registration, sync licensing, publishing, or all the ways music can actually create income beyond streams.”
That changed when they started treating music as both art and enterprise.
Today, they are building partnerships not only around sound, but around management, legal structure, accounting, and long-term growth. Their expanding team includes collaborators like Style Music Group, management partner CEO Van, and engineer RunItUpRawww, who has played a major role in shaping their sound.
For Antonio, the path into the studio world came through adversity.
After college, he found himself without much support and at one point experienced homelessness. But what could have become a stopping point turned into the beginning of something bigger. A chance encounter with a well-known radio host in Philadelphia opened the door to a studio environment, a place to stay, and the unexpected opportunity to learn audio engineering on the fly.
That one experience changed everything.
“I think there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel,” Antonio says. “Sometimes what feels like the end of the world is actually creating the environment you need for the next stage of your life.”
That perspective now shapes how he approaches business, creativity, and leadership.
For Hanif, music started even earlier – inspired by his mother, who rapped and played her own music in the car. As a teenager, he found himself split between basketball and music, eventually leaning deeper into music as his craft developed. Over time, better production, the right engineering support, and the right creative environment helped elevate his sound and sharpen his vision.
Antonio and Hanif are both Philadelphia born and raised, and the city is deeply woven into the DNA of Born to Win.
They describe Philadelphia as diverse, random, talented, and endlessly inspiring. On one block, you might see a street performer. On another, a student building a future. Somewhere else, a designer, a rapper, or an entrepreneur is chasing something bigger.
That energy matters to them.
“Everywhere you look, there’s inspiration,” Antonio says. “There are talented people everywhere in this city.”
It is exactly that local talent and drive that Born to Win wants to support.
The founders believe their biggest difference is simple: they understand both the creative struggle and the practical obstacles artists face.
While many studios offer time slots and equipment, Born to Win wants to offer more complete support. Their goal is to make the process easier, more transparent, and more accessible for artists who may be balancing music with work, family, and everyday responsibilities.
Antonio says many artists do not need more barriers. They need structure, guidance, and people willing to help them move past the next obstacle.
That mindset shapes everything from their future studio model to their plans for subscription options and flexible payments, designed to keep services within reach for more creatives.
If there is one thread running through both founders’ stories, it is persistence.
Antonio emphasizes the importance of staying on the path once you know what you are called to do. Obstacles, he says, are unavoidable – but stopping does not have to be the response.
Hanif’s personal motto is even more direct: Why not?
Why not start the studio?
Why not build the label?
Why not try a new strategy, reach out to new partners, or imagine something bigger?
He also lives by a lesson from his father: “A thinking man can never be defeated.”
That mindset of preparation and forward thinking is central to the company. Antonio, an Eagle Scout, also credits discipline and readiness as part of his foundation. Together, both founders believe success is not just about talent – it is about mentality, preparation, and following through.
When asked what they would want readers and potential clients to know, both founders came back to mindset.
Hanif’s message was simple: no dream is too big.
Antonio’s was just as direct: if something is standing in your way, do not be afraid to say it. The whole purpose of Born to Win is to help artists move through those obstacles, not face them alone.
“If there’s an obstacle,” Antonio says, “we’ll help you get past it.”
That spirit may be the clearest definition of Born to Win yet.
It is not just a label name.
It is a belief.
A work ethic.
A promise to keep going.
And for the artists in Philadelphia and beyond who are ready to take their music seriously, that kind of partnership could make all the difference.
