So, you’re at home with vital documents that need to be notarized by the end of the day. However, your spouse has the car for the day. What will you do now? If you live in the Williamsburg, Virginia area, you simply pick up the phone and call The Traveling Notary, “Mobile Notary Services on Demand.”
LaTonya Wallace-Conyers is the Founder and CEO of The Traveling Notary-VA, LLC and has been in business for five years. During her corporate career, she had been a notary and decided to start her own Notary Signing Company. I asked her what sets her apart from her competition. LaTonya replied, “We always answer the phone and have flexible scheduling.” Her mobile operation, training, experience, and knowledge of state notary laws also help her stand
out. She is certified through the National Notary Association, licensed, insured, and background screened every year”.
The areas The Traveling Notary covers are pretty extensive. They include; the City of Williamsburg, James City County, York County, New Kent County, City of Newport News, Yorktown and surrounding areas, City of Hampton, City of Westpoint, Richmond (Sandston/Airport area). LaTonya works with clients of any age, title companies, banks, law firms, and healthcare facilities, providing various notarial services.
I got to know a bit about LaTonya by asking questions about her life. She is married with one child. Her family lives in Toano, just a few miles outside Williamsburg, where LaTonya was born and raised. I asked her what she liked best about the area, and she said, “It is a great place to raise a family!” LaTonya also runs an online business management company, ALC Concepts, LLC, that helps entrepreneurs streamline operational processes. You can find her playing video games, binge-watching her favorite shows, or enjoying her favorite coffee shops in her spare time. Her favorite coffee shops are The Tipsy Bean Cafe and The Sipping Flea.
If you don’t want to take my word for it, check out The Traveling Notary’s Google ratings and reviews. They have an AMAZING 5.0 rating! One happy client, Lisa H., had to say of her experience – “LaTonya Wallace-Conyers was just perfect! Over the holiday, we had to quickly sign seller closing documents for the sale of a home that is out of state. LaTonya was responsive, professional, and thorough. We knew we were in the best of hands and that the paperwork would be completed as needed. We could not have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely use her services again and will most definitely recommend her to everyone we know.”
I asked LaTonya about the most significant event that has ever happened to her. “My marriage, the birth of my child, and becoming a full-time starting my business,” she replied. I then asked if she could share one tip with readers for choosing a notary, what it would be. “Education, years of experience, reviews, and what they offer compared to others,” La Tonya said thoughtfully. I also asked her about the most memorable client interaction she’s ever had.
She paused, then responded, “I was assisting a client with a terminal illness. It was both spiritual and moving. That experience has stayed with me.”
LaTonya said she gives special thanks to two mentors, Wanda Lee Hall and Wendy Hevener, who have shared their knowledge of the Notary business and assisted in her company’s growth. LaTonya now mentors other notaries in helping them grow their businesses.
LaTonya volunteers with several non-profit organizations. She is a New Zion Baptist Church member, where she serves as the Church Marketing Strategist. LaTonya has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Child Development Resources, Inc. She previously served on the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Alliance Workforce Committee as a United Way Day of Caring volunteer and a recent graduate of the LEAD of Greater Williamsburg Leadership Program (class of 2019), hosted by the Greater Williamsburg Tourism and Alliance.
If you, or anyone you know, need a notary online or to travel to their location, give LaTonya a call at The Traveling Notary. Remember, she is the “Mobile Notary on Demand”!!
