For the past 10 years, Immigration attorney Lizz Cannon has been helping grant VISAs and getting immigrants into the USA. Situated in Tampa, Florida, she helps with humanitarian and family immigration, as well as helping those looking for jobs in the US.
“What makes me different is that I’m willing to connect to the client and not afraid to get emotionally attached to my clients; there is a personal, human touch to how I work.”
Lizz Cannon has been running her Immigration attorney office for some time now, set up in Tampa for the last five years. Lizz is big into dancing and general athletics, including heavy lifting. She’s also a big pet lover, owning 2 cats and dogs.
Lizz works for a solo career, what we like to call a Local Biz Hero, bringing true value to her community and to those abroad. High standards of professionalism and strong work ethics, fostering positive relationships with those she works with, are integral to the immigration landscape, and it’s what makes Lizz one of the best around.
Alongside the help she brings as an attorney, Lizz donates to many local organizations, including radio stations, animal shelters, and immigrant communities. She also volunteers for local campaigns in elections, even helping to change Florida’s constitution.
We sat down with Lizz for a quick interview –
Q-Why do you do what you do? How did you get into this profession?
A- “I saw an opportunity to help immigrants in getting their immigration problems solved. I went to Law School for dreams to run for a representative position but haven’t been given the opportunity yet. I have, however, been working on other people’s campaigns for the last couple of elections.”
Q-Being an attorney, Lizz works directly with many people, we asked her what’s the most unusual situation that’s ever happened to her on the job?
A- ”Like when the government tried to say the U.S. citizen wife was not even a U.S. citizen – and took her U.S. passport from her at her Mexican husband’s interview at the US Consulate in Mexico, and I had to fight to get it back.”
Q-If you could share one tip with the readers for choosing an attorney, what would it be?
A-“Not everyone can win under the law, but keep looking to change that. Even if it means changing the law.”
Q-Is there anything else you would like to add that you think readers should know?
A-“Never stop fighting for change.”
For those of you who are looking for a professional immigration attorney, one that’s reasonably priced and always giving back to her communities, Lizz Cannon should be your first choice. Call Lizz at 617-806-6450, or visit www.lizzcannonlaw.com.
