Cindy Ballinger is the Vice President of Reclaim-it Restoration & Carpet Care, where she works side by side with her husband to provide their customers with great customer service and excellent workmanship. The business offers a variety of services to meet the needs of its customers. The services are carpet cleaning and sanitizing, repairs, odor removal, spot dying (adding back color) carpet stretching, restoration, and drying out to deter mold from growing. The business is conveniently located at 21760 Beaumeade Cir Ste 175 Ashburn VA and services all Northern Virginia. The business has existed for 33 years, they have only been at this location for the past 16 years, and is a short commute, as the home is within proximity.
While this is a small company, it boasts all the qualities, technology, and services that a larger company provides but with a personal touch. The size of the company affords them the flexibility coupled with consistent levels of expertise, wrapped in a ‘hometown feel’ that is simply unmatched. They are customer-focused and takes the needs of their clients seriously, as they understand how difficult it can be when a customer has had a serious loss or damage to their property. Their experience allows them to balance professionalism with care and decisiveness to get their customers back to good in very little time.
Cindy was not always in the carpet restoration business as her roots began in the Real Estate world where it evolved after she met Frank, a military guy who ran a carpet cleaning franchise. He needed someone to work in the front office and 28 years later they are still working together, in business and in life. Perhaps the initial lure of the partnership was Frank’s high standards and the fact that Cindy loves the restoration aspect of the business so much. This allows her to facilitate the next steps, being the hero, taking the bad, and making it good. However, Frank’s charms certainly could not be denied as a year later they married and created a beautiful family. They have 2 children, Samantha, now a Clinical Research Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania, and Todd, a senior at VA Tech. They are a football family and are fans of Norte Dame and more recently, VA Tech as Todd likes to root for his school’s team.
Cindy is not all about work and family, she takes time to feed her soul and loves to read. She hangs with her friends too and they explore new passions together, such as jewelry making, knitting, and creating art with clay. This strengthens her and allows her to deal with life and the curveballs that come her way as it did, in 2008. Business went upside down as the economy took a turn. The franchise business went away, and life became difficult, but not to be deterred, she found the strength to reinvent herself. The decision came to grow the restoration portion of the business and with a great deal of faith, community support, and marketing efforts, the business began to grow. In reflection, she would not change anything. She learned about her own personal strength, faith, and the power of prayer. These lessons are invaluable and simply cannot be bought.
Being involved in the community is also important and so participation in local events is a highlight personally and for the business. Reclaim-it has won Local ‘best of’ Loudoun Carpet Cleaning and was also a runner up for ‘Favorite Carpet Cleaner’. Cindy is also a member of Western Loudoun Group Coop and Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.
Cindy and Reclaim-it want customers to understand that carpet cleaning is not a luxury but a necessity, to filter, remove bacteria and prolong the life of the carpet. Another bit of advice is, vacuuming is most important to maintain the life and integrity of the carpet fibers.
After 33years, and a bit of facelift along the way, the core, of the business remains and is a testament to the integrity, quality, and service Reclaim-it stands for as many customers have attested to. One satisfied customer among many writes, ‘They provide excellent customer service, and the end result is superior’ Cindy wants you to know that you are in great hands for your next carpet cleaning, restoration needs. She along with Frank, who is meticulous to a fault, are ready and available to serve, take care of you and restore your carpet back to good.
