Southerntier Locating and handyman services

Greene, NY – Located in the southern tier of New York state, Southerntier Locating is a small business offering essential private utility locating and handyman services. Founded by Peter All, this one-man operation is driven by a passion for helping homeowners and small businesses at fair prices.

Comprehensive Services

Southerntier Locating

Southerntier Locating provides private utility locating and handyman services. Unlike public utility marking services, which do not cover private utilities, Peter’s service ensures that homeowners and small businesses do not face unexpected issues when digging on their property. “811 shows up the day before, but they won’t mark everything. Call me anytime, I’ll drop everything and get the job done,” Peter says.

He also offers handyman services, such as porch repairs and small construction jobs, at fair prices. “Others charge $250-300 just to show up. I aim to offer reasonable prices, especially for small jobs,” Peter shares. One satisfied customer noted, “I’m glad we took the chance with you.”

Flexibility and Fair Pricing

Peter’s flexible approach and fair pricing set him apart. He understands that many homeowners and small businesses cannot afford exorbitant fees.

“Smaller businesses can’t afford $5K, and homeowners are already paying enough for things like fences. I’m here to help them out,” he says.

He is also willing to work with clients to find a price that suits both parties, especially for veterans.

Reviews and Community Involvement

Although Peter’s business is still getting established, he has already received positive feedback from his clients. He relies on word-of-mouth recommendations and is committed to building a reputation for quality and reliability.

Peter is passionate about supporting his community. He has previously volunteered with the Special Olympics and donated to food charities. As his business grows, he plans to continue his community involvement.

The Journey So Far

Peter’s journey to founding Southerntier Locating has been diverse. He served in the Marine Corps from 1990 to 1996, gaining an honorable discharge and learning valuable skills in attention to detail and work ethic. He has also worked as a carpenter and for Dig Safe, locating public utilities for customers. His varied experiences have shaped his commitment to providing excellent service.

“I’ve been working six days a week for the last 13-14 years. Now, I’m looking to balance work and life better while offering essential services to my community,” Peter reflects.

A Personal Journey

Peter All, the owner and sole employee of Southerntier Locating, balances his professional duties with personal responsibilities. With a family of five children and a wife working in the ER, Peter needed a flexible job that allowed him to be available for his son, who has a genetic deficiency affecting his mental health.

“I needed a job that’s not a 9 to 5 so I can leave in the middle of the day if my son calls,” Peter explains.

His dedication to his family is the driving force behind his business.

Conclusion

Southerntier Locating is dedicated to providing reliable and affordable private utility locating and handyman services. Peter All’s commitment to his family and community drives his business, ensuring that clients receive the best possible service. If you’re looking for a trustworthy professional to handle your utility locating and handyman needs, Southerntier Locating is the perfect choice.
