Houston, TX – Urban Goodz Delivery is changing the way the world thinks about delivery. D’Andre Good, founder & CEO of Urban Goodz Delivery, is dedicated to serving the community. His mission is to deliver diverse cultural experiences, ranging from delectable cuisine to fashionable apparel and everything in between.
What Makes Urban Goodz Delivery Different
Every major city offers exquisite culinary delights and irresistible shopping experiences. But the quaint and charming mom-and-pop establishments are often hidden.
Urban Goodz Delivery proudly champions the cause of small businesses, the backbone of our nation. The number of small businesses dwarfs that of large corporations, and their mission is to ensure a fair and level playing field for the underdogs. They do not endorse commercialized products or big corporations. Instead, they celebrate and showcase the invaluable contributions of small businesses.
Sadly, other platforms often overshadow businesses from underrepresented groups. But Urban Goodz Delivery has created a platform where they highlight and empower all businesses, especially those belonging to underrepresented groups. They aim to spotlight their brilliance and create a more equitable marketplace for all of them.
We sat down with D’Andre for a quick interview.
Why do you do what you do?
“I am excited to be the voice of small businesses. I am accessible and genuine, stepping in as myself for meetings to establish a relatable connection with customers, vendors, and target audiences. Unlike CEOs of major platforms, I am in tune with the needs of small businesses.
“Most businesses on my platform are places I have frequented and recommended to friends. We boast hundreds of establishments from Houston, TX, to Huntsville and Birmingham, Alabama.
“As a member of the community I serve, I understand the challenges small business owners face – their need for more visibility on other platforms and difficulties with delivery services. I strive to be relatable and engaging.”
How did you get the idea for your business?
“In 2018 I had this brilliant idea for a company, but let me backtrack a bit. It was late at night, around 12 or 1 a.m., and I was craving delicious homemade food. You know that feeling when you just don’t feel like cooking? So, I decided to venture
out and find a place to satisfy my hunger. Now, here’s the catch – I lived on the other side of Houston, and anyone knows Houston is like its own city within a city, taking forever to get anywhere.
“Imagine rolling up to this bar on the opposite side of town in my casual sleeping pants, muscle shirt, and house shoes. The place was buzzing; everyone was dressed to the nines, and there I was, looking like I just rolled out of bed. It was quite a sight! But hey, I only wanted some mouthwatering chicken wings and fish from the food truck they had parked there. So, I confidently placed my order, ignoring the puzzled looks I received.
“On my way home, I couldn’t help but think of the whole situation. If only I had known about some hidden gems, places offering exactly what I was craving and delivering it straight to my door. That thought stuck with me, and it resurfaced during the COVID pandemic, when we were all seeking convenience and comfort.
“The light bulb hit me, and I decided to bring this idea to life. With sheer determination and excitement, I leaped and started my venture.”
Do you have any special awards/certifications?
“Fast, efficient, and honest, Urban Goodz Delivery has become a reputable and well-known Delivery Service. Urban Goodz Delivery was the winner of:
What is the most significant event that ever happened to you?
“Becoming a father. Being a proud father of three, I’ve discovered that having someone constantly looking up to you and seeking a positive role model is truly a life-changing experience. It’s a part of my unique journey, and though
I’ve stumbled along the way, I’ve learned from my mistakes and transformed my life. This profound realization has made a lasting impact on me.”
If you could share one tip with the readers for choosing a delivery service, what would it be?
“Support local. Embrace the small businesses — the mom-and-pop shops. Experience the finest cuisines, stylish apparel, and endless possibilities they offer. They are the lifeblood of our nation.”
When you need prompt delivery and seek a one-of-a-kind service tailored to your city’s distinctive culture, offering local favorites, exquisite food, trendy clothing, and exceptional items, D’Andre Good & Urban Goodz is the ultimate solution you’ve been waiting for.
