North Carolina — Fruit Tree Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational, faith-based organization geared towards replenishing the lives of domestic violence victims and the community through advocacy, community service and mental health support. Founders Faith Alexander and Crystal Lawson explain, “We offer peer support and case management services and different resources to local communities to help individuals or their families regain independence into society after domestic violence or other hardships.”

Through its food pantries and clothing drives, the ministry helps families in need to meet their basic needs. The ministry also offers assistance to help families secure safe and affordable housing. Faith and Crystal, both ordained ministers, are committed to supporting individuals in their faith journeys. If a client mentions that they would like pastoral counseling, the ministry can offer that service.
