You are at home, it’s early evening. A UPS driver comes to your door apologizing profusely for being late with your delivery. You weren’t expecting anything today. You open the envelope and find paperwork that has to be notarized – before Midnight. Whatever will you do? Luckily there is, Theresa Workman with The Notary Tree hard at work, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for just such emergencies. The Notary Tree is a mobile notary service that runs out of Columbus, Ohio, and covers up to 50 miles outside of the city. They pride themselves on “Meeting Your Needs”!
The services Theresa and her new associate, Marisa Thompson provide are: oath/affirmations, depositions, living wills, health care proxies, powers of attorney, vehicle titles, apostille and authentication, wedding officiating, copy certifications, I-9 employment verifications, signature witnessing, proctoring, printing services, and much more. Theresa has been in the business for six of the eight years she’s been a notary. I asked her what she feels sets her apart from her competition. She replied with, “My experience as a notary has given me extensive knowledge on how to properly and legally notarize all types of documents. But the real difference between my company and any other business, is the quality of service and personalization that comes with knowing what each client needs. Being able to provide an array of services including, but not limited to, jurats, affidavits, title transfers fingerprinting and more. I’m very detail-oriented and pride myself on the level of accuracy I provide to my clients while handling very important and sensitive legal forms in a private and professional manner”.
I asked Theresa some questions to get to know her a little better, outside of the business. She was born in Texas and raised right in Columbus. She has three children and three grandchildren. I asked Theresa what the most significant event in her life has been. “Starting this business from scratch has been a huge accomplishment. It takes my breath away to see what I have now built,” she said. She is a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. In her spare time, you can find Theresa riding her bike, painting, drawing, reading or simply learning new things. She also does volunteer work baking cookies for nursing home patients.
Now how about something that people really look into? Reviews and ratings. Let me tell you, The Notary Tree has got this one mastered. By mastered, I mean a rock solid 5.0 Google rating! This is what just one client had to say of Theresa’s service: “Amazing service! Theresa was quick to respond to my texts and emails, and she even has an outdoor office that showcases her licenses. The outdoor office made me feel safe with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Super fast service as well. I highly recommend this business!” – Marah A. Now, she sounds completely satisfied to me! Theresa also mentioned that every time someone did a review, regardless of the review, she would help aid in global reforestation by having a tree planted in their honor.
I wanted to know, what if Theresa could give one tip to someone that was looking for a notary, what would that be? She said simply, “During these challenging times, The Notary Tree is here, ready to be of service, anytime day or night. Giving you peace of mind by handling your needs right the first time”. She wanted to take a moment to mention Roger Rill and Thomas Layne as well, “When I first started, Roger was a huge help in the early days of growing my business. Roger now sends business my way when he’s too busy. And I’ll send business to Thomas when my client load is too much for me alone to handle”. The last question I had for Theresa was about her most memorable experience on the job. “It was when I drove alone to a warehouse area for a vehicle title after dark that kept me alert and on my toes. The time and location were a bit concerning to me, but it all went well”, she chuckled.
If you find yourself in need of a fast, professional, friendly, mobile notary give Theresa at The Notary Tree a call! They pride themselves on “Meeting Your Needs”!!
